About Me
------!!UPDATE!!------OK fellas, having a bit of a difficult time on here wading thru all the BS, so try to be kind!! And if you're just messaging me for a good time, please don't bother!! It hasn't been ALL bad though,I must admit, as I have met some really warmhearted and inspiring people and made some lasting friends. But sadly, they too are leaving here... not enough sincerity and too many games I am hearing and, unfortunately, finding out as well.
(To my dear Minnesota Matt, where did you go?? Miss you!! And to my Native gentlemen friends, my eternal gratitude to all of you for your wisdom and kindness and for helping me to stay focused on what truly matters in this life, to continue on my path,...true to myself, forthright...and steadfast).
And to those that would like to message me...thank you. Please understand that I have been through a rough haul with this online venue and I am not sure it is the best place for me; I hope you can understand my apprehension and extend me a little patience. With that being said, I am going to attempt this one more time. And as one very special POF individual once said to me..... ready, set, go.... _____________________________________________________________________________________ A bit about me: If you are into games, or the mass dating, chick of the week thing, then I am NOT for you. I am a one man gal and take affairs of the heart seriously. I am not able to just turn my emotions off and move on to the next person as many seem to be able to. I am the type of gal that gives my attention to one person - to explore all possibilities, while giving all that I am.
I realize that where I choose to live limits me to most; however, I seek the man who feels beyond distance, who desires beyond the miles and is not swayed by some of the inconveniences of latitude, longitude or altitude.... A man who TRULY has the time for a special someone - a friend/partner to explore the great outdoors, laugh and share new experiences with. I am looking for a man who is not only wanting, but actually willing to step away from the messages on here, take a chance, and ponder the possibilities of us.
Who am I? I am an independent, hard-working, fit and fun-loving gal that moved to the mountains in Colorado to do just that - have FUN! I love new experiences, and have a wide variety of tastes. I am an artist, and love to draw, love galleries, live music, theatre, and used to dance professionally, so I definitely have a cultural side to me, yet I would be the first to jump at the opportunity to get out and backpack for a week or two.
Have always been athletic, I try to take care of myself, workout just about every day, get outdoors to play at least five days a week, eat healthy (for the most part), so I am looking for a guy who is just as conscientious about his body as well. My interests tend to cover a broad spectrum - but that's good, keeps life interesting I think. I love cooking (so much so that I have seriously entertained the idea of switching careers and going to culinary school). I have the quiet, meditative, read a good book, sit on the deck and watch the clouds side of me. Then I'll have the must get out and get covered head to toe from the mud of an awesome single track side - love that adrenaline rush!
I am a very relaxed, easygoing, broad-minded individual. I understand that life is ever evolving and that there was a life before me. I choose not to dwell upon, but rather to learn from the past and it is my hope that my partner would as well. There is definitely no drama with this gal - too much a waste of energy! I am quite comfortable with who I am, always looking to learn and re-define myself, and am quite comfortable with letting my significant be their own person as well.
Favorite color? A forest of pines after a rain. Brilliant green washed clean from the rainfall with the contrasting boldness of their darkened bark. Favorite food? Fresh caught, pan-fried trout for breakfast. Favorite sounds? Low and soft Native flute echoing off a mountaintop, the sound of a rushing stream, the wind softly blowing through the pines. Favorite saying? 'Any arbitrary turn along the way and I would be elsewhere, I would be different'. Favorite song? 'Anywhere But Here' by Safetysuit. Favorite poem? (Well, here's one of them)
The Open Window by Edward Rowland Sill
My tower was grimly builded, With many a bolt and bar, "And here," I thought, "I will keep my life From the bitter world afar."
Dark and chill was the stony floor, Where never a sunbeam lay, And the mould crept up on the dreary wall, With its ghost touch, day by day.
One morn, in my sullen musings, A flutter and cry I heard: And close at the rusty casement There clung a frightened bird.
Then back I flung the shutter That was never before undone, And I kept till its wings were rested The little weary one.
But in through the open window, Which I had forgot to close, There had burst a gush of sunshine And a summer scent of rose.
For all the while I had burrowed There in my dingy tower, Lo! the birds had sung and the leaves had danced From hour to sunny hour.
And such balm and warmth and beauty Came drifting in since then, That window still stands open And shall never be shut again.
For those of you that have made it this far, gee thanx for hanging in there!
First Date
I am very accommodating. Preferably somewhere we can carry on a conversation though... although I LOVE biking... not the best way to get to know someone. Unless it's biking, then a bite to eat somewhere afterwards where we could enjoy a casual chat. That would work.
