Ok, the challenge is not to be lame without showing effort…uh huh. Here goes.

I tend to attract younger men. Now you’re picturing this decrepit old lady playing Wii fit, with the volume on her headset all the way up, while IMing her 25-year old boy toy. NOTE: that is NOT my subtle way of excluding men in my age range, young for us is a state of mind.

Any-who, I play billiards...sorta. I recently started karaoke. Don’t knock it till you try it. I was shocked by how much fun it is. Yes, there are your stereotypical non-singing superstars who are legends in their own minds. That’s part of the enjoyment. I am open to most activities if I’m doing it with someone who knows that it’s not about being perfect or winning ALL the time. Winning all the time is reserved for professional sports, and people needing a diagnosis. I like watching football and would not mind dating a guy who “does” football games, including tailgating…I think. I enjoy movies and the company of friends. Socializing is a fav, but I retreat to re-energize from time to time. I don’t understand people who can’t be alone. They tend to be too high maintenance for me. My quiet times are normally spent on the Internet or reading. I also like anything Star Trek and enjoy reading good books.

Honestly, I’m not sure what makes me unique. Everything that happens to us and how we respond helps to make us unique, but that’s the kind of stuff you really can’t pinpoint. If that doesn’t make sense I’d be glad to explain. I am a person who sees the glass half full the majority of the time. That comes from the fact that I am a Christian. My faith is an integral part of who I am, but it’s not my weapon of choice...(you've met people who beat you up with their beliefs).

I have VERY eclectic musical taste. For example, I’m listening to Sarah Vaughn now, listened to Hank III on the way into work, took Eagles Greatest Hits Vol 2 out to play Sarah, but quoted some southern rap in a piece I recently wrote.
I am part of a huge extended family. This means family events and lots of colorful funny family stories. It also means good food including my mac & cheese. How good is it? A husband AND wife proposed to me!

If you can’t tell it by now I enjoy life and pretty much see it as an adventure, and I think I am finally ready for the big adventure. I am looking for a long-term relationship which hopefully leads to a commitment. I am looking for someone who is traveling the same way I am. Someone who knows that everyday is not roses and sunshine, and it takes work, but it really is worth it to be with the one you love. The only way we will know that, is through open and honest conversation. I am not looking for the first thing smoking or Mr. Right Now.
