To be totally honest.... I'm looking for my man.

I'm a hopeful romantic in this fairytale of mine that most call life. I feel truly blessed for everything God has given me. I do not go to church. I do talk to God all day long. I am 5'6, love God, dancing (I have some rockin legs from dancing 14 years and bicycling everywhere now), spades, movies, pool, bowling, mini golf, and frequently changing my hair color.My family calls me the "professional student". I honestly love & believe I rock at my job. I am an adjunct professor teaching online classes for college students in education, business & computers. I work for several of the best national dance competitions & dance conventions as an event / travel director as well. I try to be environmentally conscious. I don't take plastic or paper bags whenever I can. I shop for food everyday for what I'm going to eat (usually on my bicycle) and I will put each item in my car and create more work before taking a plastic bag from a store.

My grandma was 15 years old dancing at a USO show when she met my gramps, a merchant marine. They were together from that moment & married for 58 years until he died 7 years ago from Lung Cancer from smoking(hence the fact that I can't date a smoker and fall for another guy just to watch him die like that). I quit my job at Duke & spent the last month living on a chair in the nursing home with him & I watched him take his last breath. I loved that man. I have recently stopped smoking on my gramps' birthday this year JUNE 3rd, so keep me in your prayers as I'm doing well so far. I'm getting acupuncture, I'm on the chantix prescription, nicotrol inhalers and the patch. If I don't quit, I will be quite disturbed with myself as I am usually the best at everything I do. I pride myself on being "no maintenance". I basically have everything I could ever need or want, aside from my man by my side.

Looking for an attractive guy 5'9 or taller, attractive, a SWM 26-39, thin or average, never married & no children (when I say vows in front of all my family & friends, my soulmate & I will both be saying it for the first time), college educated, goal oriented, have a job, your own place, your own car, and looking for an awesome chick to be friends with first to see if it could lead to anything more!! I believe in taking it very slow and I don't kiss on the first few dates. I like to get to know people as opposed to using sex as an ice breaker. I haven't had a boyfriend in years. I've been focusing on myself and the success I have achieved in my life and my career. I've had a few dates these past few years, but have found nothing worthwhile. I guess I'm just patient and I truly believe that there is one man that I am meant to be with and I'm just waiting for him & takin it day by day in the meantime. I'm willing to wait until I get swept off my feet by someone who actually has goals and aspirations and is successful like me!!

I totally believe in men opening doors, pumping gas (my gram didn't pump gas til she was in her late 70s), male/female roles, etc. You all know what chivalry is. I'm old fashioned. You're not gonna get any action for a while, so if you're impatient or looking for something short term, you might as well try somewhere else because I don't like wasting the time of others. If you are looking for long term and are patient when meeting a girl, I'm a great friend & I'll never ask anyone for anything other than your time. I enjoy spending time watching movies and cuddling and talking all hours of the night and just being chill. I love board games. I'm kind of a geeky homebody.

I have been told I'm "mother of the world" since I was a child. I believe Love is an action. I do my best to LOVE everyone I meet & to help anyone that I encounter that is in need. I weeded and gutted New Orleans a year to the date of Katrina, have sold thousands of books and many bookshelves for a friend after spending 5 weeks straight looking up isbn numbers for her since her husband died suddenly and I'll basically do anything within my power when asked as I believe God brings me people in need so I can be of service to Him. It makes me feel so good to know that God trusts, loves, and has so much faith in me that He'd send these people my way to help them through me. It does say "what you do for others you also do for God". I truly believe God helps these people through me.

If you've gotten this far & you're not like "what a b*tch!" & you're more like "cool. She knows what she wants, she's obviously dated people out of her criteria which has made her create the guidelines one must have to date her." I'm in it for the long haul & I would like to find someone looking for the same. I don't play games, I truly try my best to love EVERYONE right from the start. And If you have a billion girls chasing after you, let me know cause even though I love to watch that s*it on tv, I only date one person at a time, see if it works, & then move on if it doesn't. I'm not the type to go out with a different dude each night to get my dinners paid for. I'm intelligent, independent & I take care of myself. I will never ask anyone for more than their time.
