I guess the basics should be taken care of first. Please be patient with me here, as I'm new to this online intro thing. I'm Canadian born, but have been here in the USA since 1983. I've been divorced for 10 years and yes, I am over all that!! Man, that was an experience I never want to address again. I am employed in my own business. My hobbies are somewhat specialized, and one I have found meets so many of my needs, the others seem to pale. I have been an avid motorcyclist (large cruisers) for a lot of years. Even the worst days somehow seem to mellow once the leathers are on and the wind is in my face. Now that's not to say I'm not open to exploring other options with new challenges(even here in Colorado, it rains some days). I also find myself getting caught up in the gym from time to time (once I get beyond my procrastination :) ). And I'm usually open to a hike or bicycling, or a game of pool or two. Really, anything that isn't office related :). I'm a dog lover and yes, they (almost all animals) even like me. I'm just a casual skier, but do really enjoy this as well. I don't think I should class this as a hardcore hobby, as I usually only make it to the slopes 2-3 times a season. PLUS, I'm very open to exploring what your hobbies are. Just because I haven't ventured into something, doesn't mean I wouldn't absolutely love it with the right friend or soul mate. It isn't all about me, SO ... suggest something to me .....

Now onto "What makes me unique". That's really subjective depending upon who you ask, but from what friends tell me, apparently I am one of the most giving people on the planet. Next would be the ease I can go from the board room to the bar (provided it has GREAT chicken wings). No, I'm not a heavy drinker at all (would tend to fall off my ride if I were), but I do like to socialize. Oh ... I do love to laugh. Not that I profess to be a stand up comedian, but I like to entertain, and be entertained. I can always appreciate quick wit and a positive outlook. I don't think I come with a lot of baggage, but I'm sure there's some. I really am not looking for someone who is hoping to find someone to fix her. However, living in the "now", having learned from the past could be used as an apt description for myself as well who you are. We are all not much more than the sum of all of life experienced to date.
One other thing you should know is that I do a fair bit of public speaking relating to my professional interests. So what does that mean ... well, I'm not shy and pretty comfortable in my own skin. Dare I say that I like me as a person? I'll even go so far as to tell you that my friends tell me that "I'm one of the good guys".

First dates are always interesting. I do like the idea of a casual coffee or light lunch, as the main focus in either of these, is conversation. I want to get to know who you are!! I could meet you at your favorite haunt. And if appropriate and you have interest, I could probably be talked into bringing my motorcycle OR certainly I'm always open to a more traditional meet and greet. Most importantly, you should be comfortable. I'm very adaptable with almost any venue. The only thing I ask is that what ever is decided upon, we should be able to converse and do so without having to yell due to the background noise. Who knows .... could end up as life long friends or we could find our soul mate, and I'm open to either.
