About Me
being the ever-so-obedient one with no mind of my own i followed the enumerated guidelines below...
No. 1 - Hobbies are anything related to the arts, music (live or recorded), boating, breathing from a hilltop, Jeopardy, mentally and verbally sparring with anyone who will humor me, dancing (see "profession" above), sit on The Balcony and drink wine, writing, ummmm - like to swim in my pool when no one is watching and most of all and perhaps aboveall love to get in the jeep on any given day and take a day trip to wherever and miss no backroads. I love to find new places and new people to talk to. I am over-the-top inquisitive.
2. Goals/Aspirations - Too much work to have goals and ambitions. I love watching my kids metamorphis into adults. That's about it for goals. I have been goal-oriented far too long already. Have run my own business for years , so I guess my goal now would be to not really have one. and............. world peace. thank you judges! (waving)
3. Talk about myself and what makes me unique - could wax ad nauseum here. Cosmic is cosmic is it not? Just talk to me and then we shall see what we shall see.... life is short so jump in before you check the water.
4. my taste in music - well there is a great category alex. I have albums (yes, albums) ranging from Chick Corea and Weather Report to Styx and Montrose, Peruvian stuff, Beethoven and Ten Years After. i have every pink floyd album ever recorded. and their hat and shirts. love Bread and Loggins/Messina's old stuff. Traffic, Robin Trower...., and the Doobie Bros of course. i was raised on Hank, Willey and two-stepping on the pavilion at Garner State Park. my ringtone on my phone is john denver. really. the only music class that actually annoys me is rap. i just want the artist to have some Soul. Ya know???
but why must we assume our choice of music defines us?? what about fave movies, books, poems.... mine are "The Sound of Music" and "Monty Python & the Holy Grail" (could not choose a fave between those), The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, and "Tear in a Whirlpool" (an unpublished original) in that order...
ok so beyond the 4 minimum areas of discussion i could add that routine annoys me; i would rather fly a kite than shop (the thought of going to the mall gives me an anxiety attack); given a choice between turning left or right i will either go straight or turn around; nothing angers me more than inhumanity or when They cancel jeopardy for something They think i should see instead; i believe that homeless and helpless are not synonyms; and i believe if you really set your mind to it you can actually make poptarts good for you. metaphysically speaking.
First Date
i do not really like the whole "First Date" connotation. too much pressure. it automatically implies that others shall follow. i can think of little that i do not enjoy doing actually (except listening to rap music). if the company is cosmic then virtually anything can be fun. i am not much for roller coasters or base jumping nor any other scary venture that might otherwise be misconstrued as a "rush". i shall die soon enough - why "rush" things? would rather go for a ride in the hillcountry in my jeep sans the top and doors playing Heart's "Keep Your Love Alive" with the most heart-racing moment being the stealing of some roadside bluebonnets...
