I'm a 24 year old male living in Colorado for the next 5 years while pursuing climbing adventures and a medical school degree. I was raised and recently moved from North Carolina, where I attended UNC-Chapel Hill for college. There I earned my Bachelor's degree in Biology & Spanish and was witness to the 2005 Men's basketball National Championship.
I'm an ice climber and a mountaineer as well as an avid traveler. I love having new experiences and the excitement, adventure, and opportunity for personal growth that they present.
I've lived in Spain and partied with Spaniards at botellons in the streets of Sevilla, I've wandered the Greek Isles, I've scuba dived in The Galapagos Islands, I've gone sea cliff diving at a 311 concert in Jamaica, I've gone sailing in the British Virgin islands and slept under the Caribbean starry night sky, I've been to an Absinthe rave in the Czech Republic's capital city of Prague, I've climbed in the Andes mountains of South America, I've watched the sun rise and set on 3 continents, I've visited over a dozen foreign countries and 40 U.S. states. I hope to see as much of the world as I can before I die.
Aside from traveling and climbing, I enjoy checking out movies and trying out new recipes while cooking dinner. The biggest nostalgia I have from growing up in North Carolina is relaxing outside with a good bottle of wine and watching the evening thunderstorms roll in as the wind picks up and the smell of rain fills the air. My ideal retirement would be to spend my final days resting on a wide open ranch in Montana, raising cattle and passing the days front-porch sitting with old friends, talking about times from our youth.
As far as medical school goes, I want to specialize in family medicine, as I feel there are a lot of Americans who are in dire need of better primary care. A good family doctor is what prevents people from having to go to specialists and emergency rooms in the first place, because conditions and diseases they have are caught early. I also want to use the medical school degree to contract out work to Himalayan and Antarctic expeditions where I can serve as both the team doctor and a member of the climbing/exploration team.
I get along with almost everyone, but I am opinionated and won't hesitate to be honest about any and everything. I do have a strong sense of identity but I am always looking for someone who can shake the foundations of who I (think) I am, so that I may continue to grow as a human being.

For a first date I like to do something very informal that takes the pressure off of both people. Being able to relax allows people to be more open and to be yourself, as well as express easily who you are and what you are looking for. Dinner is always great to start, but afterwards I like to do something a little less conventional, which is always exciting and surprising.
