Hello world! Meet a proud mother and business owner/freelance consultant, as well as a good friend to a wide variety of people in my rural community and beyond. Though the past few months have seen life turned upside down and inside out, I've begun a wonderful journey of bravely moving forward to rediscover the true me who is filled with such joy for living. Though a lot like a roller coaster, ups and downs with thrills and chills, I'm looking forward to discovering what lies ahead in the months to come with old friends, and especially new friends. Some will simply be acquaintances along the way ... some will have the potential for so much more. Watch out world.

After two decades married to my college sweetheart, I suddenly find myself in unfamiliar territory. Not where I choose to be...but finding with each new day that this is exactly where I needed to be. The opportunities are frightening and exciting and confusing and intriguing! I can't wait to rediscover the best of me and get to experience all that this new dating world can offer.

I enjoy outdoor activities as well as fine entertainment. I'm more of a spectator of sports than a player, but I love cheering on my children at their games as well as college and professional sports teams (I'm not afraid to join in and laugh at myself at pickup ballgames and my tennis backhand is still not so bad). I love watching movies of all kinds in theaters and curled up on my own couch, snuggled under a comfortable blanket, letting the story unfold and take me away, if even for just a few hours. I love concerts (not so much a fan of country, but I'm learning) and especially Broadway productions, absorbing the music and singing along with the crowd. I love intimate talks with just a few, or boisterous conversation with a large, animated group, sharing our feelings about the latest news or a favorite book.

I especially like meeting new people and getting to know the similarities we share and the uniquenesses that we each offer and how both can enrich and make life more interesting!

If you are a man who takes more notice of what I have above my shoulders than all the assets I carry below; if you will look me in the eye when talking; listen when I am upset and accept that I may not need you to fix it, just listen and put me in my place if I deserve it; and if you can laugh when all else fails, then we should learn more about each other. It's been so long since I've been on a first date, I can't begin to restrict what that might be. But the first date will definitely need to be time spent talking, seeing if we can laugh together and getting to know one another. This first date could be anything as long as that time spent is in good company with someone who isn't afraid to laugh. From there, I can't wait to enjoy a movie, an outdoor concert, a quiet dinner, a leisurely walk in the park, cheering at a sporting event, or a continuation of the first date, enjoying more time together. And I can't stress enough, laughter is important to me, as well as someone who is willing to just talk, whether serious or silly.
