I haven't been on here forever, I was out to BC and other places for work in the last few months but now that I'm home for good, I guess it would be nice to add some more to this profile.

First of all, I want to get this out of the way. I am looking for dating but I like to take things slow, I know there are those out there who throw themselves from one relationship to the next but I am not like that. I like to get to know someone well before I will consider anything serious. Don't let that discourage you, I'm simply stating it to avoid surprising anyone.

My friends and coworkers would probably be the first to tell you I'm an odd man, if I didn't beat them to it. I can be the craziest, funniest guy out there and a moment later, revert back to the quiet semi-intellectual man that I am most times. Both facets of my personality are genuine, they just come and go as they please and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm on here to meet someone fun who has interesting things to say about just about any subject that comes up. I'm very open to new ideas and love to let others know what my point of view is and why. I like to hear about things outside my own experience and you're more than welcome to share it with me.

What I like / dislike really comes down to things I myself do. For instance, I put a certain effort in my writing and I have a very difficult time corresponding with people who spell things half-assed ("how r u doin" kinda stuff). Also, I'm a bit of a weird person, not in the "creepy, stalker" way but more like the fact that I'm pretty open-minded (when it suits me) and that I speak my mind about most subjects.

My interests change from day to day but usually, I like pretty much anything that has to do with the written or spoken word : Writing, reading, music, movies, acting (I used to dabble in theater and I was working on a local TV show before joining the army). A recent new obsession of mine is photography, I finally made the plunge and got a decent camera so I'm sometimes heading out into the unknown, camera in hand, looking for the perfect shot. I find it relaxing and refreshing!

Don't be shy to message me, I'm nice to everyone and won't bullsh*t you - If I don't want to speak to you, I'll say so politely, I have nothing to earn from responding with an insulting remark or a plain, dumb "f*ck off" message. I like to think I'm above that type of behavior and wish everyone else did the same.

On a first date, I'd be nervous, shy and awkward. I might also suffer from excessive
sweating and nervous shaking.

Seriously, though, I like to meet in a relaxed setting good for talking, such as coffee or a little walk around the block. Depends on who I'm with at the time, I would think.
