Hi. I'm brand new to LA and am interested in meeting people for friendship, maybe more. While I'm generally not keen about meeting people online, I'm also not really big on the bar and club scene and I kind of find that it's more difficult to meet new people if you don't go out so often or have a large group of single friends.

About me: I'm a high school English and drama teacher and currently looking to teach at the community college level. I'm very interested in movies and have written a few scripts in my spare time. One of the reasons I moved to LA is to get more involved in the film industry here. I know it's really hard to break into film, but I figure I at least owe it to myself to try. I would describe myself as a fairly creative person and I enjoy telling stories and collaborating with people on unique projects. I'm generally an upbeat person and I've always believed it is important to have a positive outlook in life no matter what happens to you. Other interests of mine include reading, hiking and exploring the outdoors, particularly the mountains, playing my guitar, and surfing. I've been a life-long Dodger fan and am totally excited about the playoffs. I'm 5'11, healthy weight, caucasian.

I'm looking for someone who's also genuinely interested in meeting and getting to know other people. I tend to get along with people who are not afraid to share and express themselves, as well as people who are passionate about something in life and want something more. I believe very strongly in just being yourself. In a good friendship or potential relationship, I think it's always important to be yourself and be honest. If it works, it works. If not, just don't go Fatal Attraction on me...

Anything BUT dinner and a movie (although that's cool for a later time). Picnic in a park? BBQ/bonfire on the beach, something fun where we can have a conversation.
