I enjoy working on home improvement projects, remodeling, and decorating. I like boating, fishing, golfing, movies, concerts, the theater, musicals, plays, museums, art shows, and browsing antiques.
My plan is to retire once I reach maximum retirement age. At that time, I aspire to play the piano, again. I took lessons for 8 years, but haven't played for over 35 years, because I have no piano at home. I would also like to take art lessons, because I believe I still have some latent artistic talent, just crying to get out.
I am very people oriented, and thoroughly enjoy meeting new people. I love my job because it exposes me to public relations activities very often. I am loyal, honest, and faithful to my chosen partner in life, my family, and friends. Those closest to me would tell you I have the patience of Job. I am very easygoing and unpretentious. I love to listen to classical music/semi-classical music, Spanish guitar, easy listening music, 50's,60's,70's hits, some pop rock and country rock, and some jazz...as long as it's not too terribly blue. I'm afraid I'm not much of a country western music fan, especially the twang, twang, twang sadly depressing kind. Hip-hop/RAP are definitely not my thing either. AND... Oh yeah, I can cook, too.
My two sons, ages 23 and 28, do not live with me. However, at the present time, I have a 27 year old female Ph.D. student living/boarding with me in my home. She is from Jordan, and has stolen my family's heart. She has become sort of my surrogate daughter, and calls me her American Mom. My sons think of her as a sister now, too. So, I guess you could say, I still have one kid at home. However, she is very much an adult, is very independent, and leads a fullfilling life of her own.
