The unusual fascinates me, please tell me a good story. My intellectual hobby is seeking what is out of the ordinary and unexpected. It keeps me humble to what I think I know. Both skeptical and gullible, but always thoughtful, open, and curious. I often wonder why we are prone to believe, or not believe strange things. What I do choose to believe in is generally based on the weight of evidence, but may also depend on the consequences of that belief for me and for others. Open-minded folks keep me learning, my lifetime journey is one of learning and wondering why. All of these interests make me a good listener, except when a TV is on so I avoid it. I take the time for philosophy...a deep thinker, maybe too deep, become a bit absent minded when in my deep thinking mode.
Those who have taken the road less traveled purposefully will find me there, enjoying the strange journey.
I'm looking for an artist or an artist's apprentist to sketch
with while we delve onto each others creative minds....or a model will do.
Art and music release the other side of my mind that sleeps in most days. Wine
also brings out the latenight side of me that prefers to view myself from the corner of the room or
from
a
crack
between
the
cushions
in the couch.

I play music, banjo, dobro, mandolin, guitar and play at open mikes and jams here in town occasionally. A bit of a country boy, and make music that grows from deep roots.
I lift at the gym at work nearly every day. It's a habit from being an athelete in college.
Golf became my focus sport last summer. A suitably humbling sport, but I haven't played since I got to Housotn.
I do sketches with pastels, oil paints, sculpture, pottery, and go to Hawaii a few times every year where I rest my mind with art. My dream is to leave the rat race and move to my jungle property on the big island, build a house, and take up a less conventional way of living (retirement?).

For now, my kids are all that I can deeply commit myself to. They are young and deserve as much attention as I can afford. I share them with my X so I do have time for my hobbies and new friends.

Here's a bit of my way of thinking.

What we are now reflects our past thoughts.
What we will be will reflect our future thoughts.
Plan the best for yourself, think about it.
Tell someone your dream life, even tell me if you like.
Write it down to make it concrete.
Share it...you will feel an obligation to get it done.
By sharing you will find folks ready to help you along the way...don't we all enjoy seeing someone achieve their dreams especially if we know that we helped somehow.

It is important to surround ourselves with positive people, friends or otherwise, that do not see limits to their life or to ours. That's what I am looking to share with you. Even if we only end up chatting online, let's make it positive for us both.

A first meeting can be just making the opportunity to see each other, to feel if there is any potential connection....thats not necessarily a date.
For our first date, lets try something special or unusual, just in case we want to remember it later.
The best feeling is to find an opportunity to give, to help, or to cheer someone up....a great thing to do on any occasion.
