I got the house, the dog and the boat! She got my best friend....Damn I'm gonna miss him!! Don't cry because it's over....Smile because it happened!!
I am fairly new to the dating scene but so far it's been interesting to say the least. I live alone in North Raleigh with my best friend Marley who is a huge golden retriever and is a little on the goofy side. He loves to go the the lake or down to Oriental where I keep my sail boat which I don't get to nearly enough because I don't have enough crew members. Nothing better than kicking back with a cold one after an afternoon sail and watching the sun go down. My way of relaxing is playing guitar which I taught myself back in college. I also love reading, I usually keep 2 books going at once. I'm the type that needs to be around friends and some of mine are not quite right! Our group likes to take at least one camping trip a year. We get together at a friends house for pool parties all during the summer. I would like to find someone with a good sense of humor who does not take herself too seriously. Someone who likes to dance, go to concerts, camping, sailing or just hanging out in front of the fire place with a good glass of wine. Just picked up a new bike so now they call me The Breeze...cause I'm just blowin down the road!

I think the first date should be a lunch or dinner. Somewhere where we can talk and get to know each other better. I like movies, but they are not much good for conversation. Or if she likes to walk, we could take a walk around Umstead Park or one of the area lakes. Museums are fun too, they give both people a chance exchange ideas and tastes. Or waste a couple of hours at the flea market looking for stuff we don't need!
