About Me
I'm very quiet at first, but eventually you'll find out that I have a big mouth. I can be sarcastic, but more often than not I try to be the sweet guy that people seem to hope for. I don't have very many friends, but the friends I do have I am very close to. I may not make much money - as you can see, considering I make less than $25k, but I do have my own apartment, as well as a pet kitten, and I am able to make ends meet, along with having a few nice privileges here and there. This unfortunately though, has turned me into a homebody, but it's okay, I love the time I spend here at my apartment relaxing and just being me, and comfortable, with my music.
With that being said, I believe myself to be a very gifted musician, with not a whole lot of opportunities to use my talents to better others. I do teach drum lessons, but with not having a set schedule, it's hard to schedule drum lessons in, so that's on hold for now. My actual career right now takes place at a little store we all know as Walgreens. I just got promoted to a new position - Store Team Lead. It's a half-inventory and half-management job, that I really love. I get opportunities to meet many people, and help them in so many ways, whether it's showing someone where we had to move their favorite chocolate bar (yes, helping someone find chocolate is helping people - it's instant gratification!!!! ha), or if they'd be better off with Tylenol or Motrin, and which strength of Vitamin D do they need. It's a very fulfilling career. Most people would see my job as "just a job", but I love getting to go to work, especially on holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. Again, I know a lot of people who give me some lip for working those holidays where it's very common to spend with family, but some of the shoppers we get those days may not have families, or they might just be needing something. Again, I love to help people.
With THAT being said (yes, I know I'm writing a novel, and if you've made it this far, I applaud you), I've been on and off the fence lately about going to church. I'll let you message me to find more about that one. It's too long of a story for here. But my church background has made me who I am today, even though I don't regularly go to church now.
I love music and movies and TV. I'll start with music. Music is really more of a what I don't like, because there isn't much that I don't like. I APPRECIATE all forms of music because it takes gift and talent. But I'm biggest into classic rock, modern contemporary rock, and modern pop. I love romantic comedies and comedies, as well as your fun animated flick. Similar with TV - I love comedy shows, the occasional news program, Hell's Kitchen, and Law and Order.
Not sure if this is up in the first few paragraphs or not, so I'll just mention it here. I'm looking for a relationship. I want someone to share my life with. I'm not looking for one-time sexual encounters or anything similar to that.
If you've read my novel this far, I commend you, and hopefully I'll hear from you so I can get to know you more!
Oh, and there's a difference between evaporated milk and condensed milk. Ask me the story of how I figured this out..
First Date
I like first dates to be just like most other dates. I like calm nights, and prefer them to be romantic - not necessarily in the physical sense, but I like to know that something's there. I'm not big into going to bars, although I don't mind having a drink or two. I just like to remember the night when I wake up. If I really knew you and were comfortable with you, we could even have a first date here at my apartment. I can make a nice dinner and we can curl up (if comfortable) on the couch with a good movie. Those I think, are the only times a movie works on a first date. Otherwise we could go to a park and have a picnic, or go someplace, and share an evening of good conversation, and hopefully find a good connection. I'm also open to other first date ideas! :) And if you're into Jazz music, let me know, I'd love to check out some Jazz clubs in the area!
