My children are grown and my youngest son now married,it's time that I got back out and joined all the other single parents/grandparents trying to begin again. I put my life on hold after my divorce to raise my son. Now as time has gone on, I find it hard to get out and start over, it is like being a scared teenager again:-) I enjoy, baseball(Astros),bowling,playing WII,dancing,cards,board games and love the beach. I love old muscle cars,(Pontiac GTO being my favorite), motorcycles(as a passenger), 4 wheeling in the mountains and going boating. I am told I have a good personality, witty, and always ready to try new things. I am not into drugs or head games, and am not looking for someone that is. The most importain thing to me are my family and friends, my children and grandchildren are my world. I enjoy most types of music,70's,80's rock,country,motown... I also like to traveling when I can, lots of places I haven't seen that I would like to. I am ready to start over, again! So, let the journey begin...... it is time to let someone take care of me now, I have always been the caretaker, now I would like it to be the other way around (I think). There are so many places I would like to go and things I would like to do if finances would allow, now that I have the time and freedom to do so. I love meeting people of any age, but I could not think of dating someone that is young enough to be my son! or someone that is looking for a women that is young enough to be their daughter or granddaughter, to me that is a big turn off!! I am sorry if that offends some, but I want to be honest. I want someone that is honest and straight forward, but not rude, there is a difference, someone with a sense of humor, but can take it when it gets thrown back at them without being upset. As far as baggage goes, we all have it, that is what makes us who we are, we deal with it, some better than others, but none the less especially at our ages, there is no way to avoid the baggage!! If you have read this far, I am impressed.

I'm not sure what I would want to do on a first date, it would depend on the other person,time and place.... I think it should be decided by both, or at least discussed, but nothing extravent or noisy. The purpose would be to talk and get to know each other to see if there may be a second date in the future.
