I enjoy living each day to its fullest, finding contentment in simple things, and sharing my beliefs through participation and example. I thank God every day for all the good things I have in my life. I consider myself very lucky to have close friends and a loving family, as well as children, who have changed my life for the absolute best!!! I was born and raised in Northern Michigan and my heritage is Irish, French and Native American.

Music is a HUGE part of my life! I sing and play acoustic guitar. I've been a bit out of practice though on the guitar since children made their way into my life. I like the Beatles, U2, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Santana, Melissa Etheridge, Van Morrison, Elton John, Queen, Sarah McLachlan, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, Genesis, Simple Minds...the list could go on and on!

As much as I love spending time with my children, being successful in my work gives me a very positive sense of self. The added adult interaction of working doesn't hurt either - LOL! I'm very happy to be back to work in my field as of January 2009.

The man I'm looking for must share at least some of my interests like canoeing, hiking, fishing, camping, x-country skiing, walking on the beach, watching movies, playing billiards, playing card games (especially cribbage) and listening to music. I graduated from NMU, so the hockey bug bit me while I lived in Marquette and I'm a big Red Wings fans. I STILL enjoy watching college hockey live as well. I like to dine out once a week if I can, and/or cook with my partner or friends at home.

When I find the man I'm looking for (through chemistry and compatibility), I will become his best friend and lover, and commit myself to a lifetime of nurturing our relationship.

I guess I would call myself a HOPEFUL romantic. The lyrics of the song "When You Say Nothing At All" performed by Alison Krauss pretty much sum up what I'm wanting to feel with the right person, and I'm not sure this person exists.
