About Me
Hmm, words that describe my obvious objective viewpoint of myself: creative, intuitive, sharp, optimistic, altruistic, funny (looking), driven, and I always look at the bright side.
I enjoy conducting various polyphonic experiments with electronic and stringed instruments.
I love exploring L.A. I hang out a lot in downtown, the East side, the West side (I work in Santa Monica), Hollywood, Inglewood, the Valley, the Beach, LACMA, The Getty/Villa, Natural History Museum (their mineral exhibit is mind blowing), Hollywood Bowl & Greek theater, Music Box, The Smell, and any where else there's a good show.
Favorite spots for amazing coc-ktails: Varnish, The Association, 7 Grand, Bodega Wine Bar, Cha Cha for Sunday Bloody Mary's, Drawing Room for the war stories, the Rainbow Room for the trip down memory lane, Fairfax, and the downtown ArtWalk for visual intoxication. MUSIC is everything - favs right now are Radiohead, Stravinsky, Justice, Brazilian Girls, Slayer, Empire of the Sun, The Beatles, DJ Shadow, Tchaikovsky, Calvin Harris, Death From Above, The Faint, Simian Mobile Disco, Soulwax, James Brown, Erykah Badu, Prince, Etta James, Ida Maria, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jail Weddings, Of Montreal, Black Keys, Black Lips, Atmosphere, Mozart, Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, Grandaddy, The Saints, Black Flag, Zepplin, AC/DC, Louis Armstrong, and this mixed tape a friend made of some really good 60's psychedelic garage rock...and I also recently found out I really enjoy really dramatic opera.
I'm kind of a workaholic and get very involved in the projects I take on, but love working creatively and intensely with other like minds.
I skateboard and snowboard religiously, and stay as physically active as possible.
I cook...especially eggs benedict.
I read a lot, play chess, poker, and love to battle it out on da foosball table...bring it!
I drink a lot of champagne...often while playing foosball.
I am a member of Beard Team USA, but also enjoy a clean shave.
I do everything possible to avoid being a slave to the system.
Pretty big science geek - I read a lot of Scientific American and Discover Magazine, along with Thrasher, GQ, Vice and my roommates hand-me-down The New Yorker magazines.
My friends and I are the kind of people that will drop everything to drive to the beach at 4am to save imaginary beached whales that we move back into the ocean with our imaginary whale moving machines.
I'm very fortunate to have amazing friends and family - they keep me fresh and on my toes. I spent a lot of time in the woods growing up so you can bet I'll take a second or two to move lost insects off the sidewalk so they don't get smooshed.
For Halloween this year I'm dressing up as Ron Burgundy. He's my hero.
First Date
I like women who are funny, creative, clever, smart, bold, artsy, goofy, driven, and sexy. I want to meet someone who's down to go rob a bank, and then drink champagne to celebrate... or 40's if the bank job goes wrong. But if you're not into the whole bank robbing thing, maybe a walk around The Getty, bowling, people watching at the Downtown Art Walk, or just a classy cup o' tea and a pastry somewhere chill.
The Grand Finale has 2 roses that can be sent.
