I am a mature man, gentle, patient, a little stubborn with many interest and hobbies. My nature is that of an introvert. My character is based upon a need for integrity and honesty in dealing with those that I care about. Every one else, I deal with on a case by case basis. I enjoy reading philoshy, psychology, history, but also enjoy archery, tai chi, and woodworking. The woman that I seek will have a conceptual/analytical world view, will not follow fads, but finds her own way. She must be intelligent with many skills effective for coping with every day life. She follows her mind rather than her heart when it comes to knowing the world. But when in love, she is very passionate, loving, and follows her heart.

For our first date we need to learn about each other, to explore and find if there is a fit between the two of us. It doesn't matter where we go, as long as we aren't distracted. A movie would be totally wrong. We need time to explore personal history, to observe responses to questions, to learn some small things about each other. Perhaps a quiet dinner, after dinner sharing a glass of wine, and then perhaps a walk. If it felt right betweeen us, perhaps a dance. But, our progress should be slow in increments, it is easy to make a mistake and get involved with the wrong person. It would be better to take our time and be sure.
