hey fishermen!!

I am originally from Melbourne Australia and have lived in the US for the past 18 years. The past 18 years i have been in NYC, but have recently relocated to LA and am loving it. Why didn't i do it sooner?

I love hiking at Runyan and am always looking for new hiking spots. I work out at the gym 4-5 times a week and am very interested in people who are also physically fit and enjoy exercise. Sure i veg out too in front of the idiot box, but like to do something physical every day...keep the tummy at bay...

While I am very new to LA and looking to meet people and date, i am also hoping for and ultimately wishing for a long term relationship - something real/solid and finding someone i can hopefully spend the rest of my life with. I am a self-employed writer and have written for many magazines and would like to do something more in the entertainment industry (what better place than LA to be right?)Working from home however does limit my 'man meeting capabilities'...

I am very spontaneous, outgoing, fun, social and kinda loud! I have no major hang ups and am always suprised and impressed by how quickly i 'bounce back' from failure - what doesn't kill us makes us stronger i guess...Did i mention i have a lot of energy? No lazy bums apply please!!


Ultimately I am looking for 'real love' as Mary J Blige croons about. And now that i am on POF, I am not interested in talking on the phone for hours at a time or 20 emails back and forth...if you're genuine and genuinely interested, ask me out. One drink. I am in this for real. I'm not playing and don't want to waste my time...have done enough of that...however i am realstic and realize that one has to date and maybe date a lot in order to find someone who I am compatible with and who has that certain something that each person is looking for.

I love music - my i-pod is very eclectic - from Maxwell, Britney, Sarah McLachlan, Duffy, Jay-Z, Beyonce, John Mayer, Billy Idol...yep Billy Idol...

I think the whole dinner thing is abit much for a first date. A drink somewhere fun and loud where there is plenty of people watching so that it's not too painfully obvious if you aren't each other's ONE...
