After getting sick of meeting people in the same old bar scene, I am giving this a try on a dare from a friend. Who knows huh?

Ok, things about me... I enjoy being active. I play all kinds of sports: golf, bocce ball, softball, dodgeball, volleyball and kickball (see the picture of our team-I'm the one in the front with shorts on, cheesy I know, but c'mon, it's kickball). Many of these are played through local bar leagues or other social leagues.

I enjoy going to sporting events (Brewers, Badgers, Marquette, etc). As you can tell from the picture, I'm a big Notre Dame football fan, and finally went to my first game there.

My family and friends are big parts of my life. I have a great sense of humor and often try to find the good in things rather than the bad.

My hobbies, aside from sports, include reading and writing. I'm a pretty big movie buff and can often be found writing movie reviews and other rants for a friends website. I love going out and trying new restaurants and styles of food. I like to travel and I enjoy finding the hidden gems in our own country as well as traveling overseas. I would love to go to Ireland someday.

When the weather is nice, you'll find me riding my motorcycle as much as I can. I like going to concerts, but only if I have good seats. In one of the pictures where I'm wearing a white shirt, standing next to me is Jonny Lang, a blues artist who is one of my favorite musicians.

I guess to sum up, I know that making new friends at this age in our lives isn't easy for anyone, so if this profile allows me to meet some new poeple, than it was worth it. And like I said before, who knows.

I guess I'm your old fashioned traditional first date type of person. A nice laid back place for dinner, somewhere where you can talk and get to know someone. Good food, good music, those sorts of things. Warm weather months allow for walks, mini golf or any number of fun outdoor types of dates.
