UPDATE:
It's official. I'm at the 1 yr plus mark and it feels to good to say I'm doing very well. It hasn't been near as frightening as I thought it would be and I DON'T feel desperate for a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. I've been truly blessed by God carrying me through an awful time in my life. I enjoy life now and can't say there's much I would change. I enjoy discovering little out of the way places and things I never would have considered pre-divorce. Most important, I've discovered I am self-sufficient and there's nothing Tim the Tool Man has on me. I don't understand what it means to be "drama-free" because life is about drama of some sort or you're not really living. I enjoy learning from all of it!!! I just tend to avoid those that stir it up to make it stink if you catch my drift. Yes guys, there are women out there who truly ARE NOT looking for a Sugar Daddy! ;)

I'm on this site not to date around and I'm not looking to get married any time soon either! I'm just looking for an honest man or like I heard once...I JUST WANT ONE MAN WHO WILL PROVE TO ME THAT THEY'RE NOT ALL ALIKE.

Anyhow, just thought I'd update since I'm not in the same place I was....I can't wait to meet you whoever you are!

I'm a newbie to this kind of thing called singlehood, so patience please. I'm just your average empty nester who finds myself surprisingly alone after a long marriage. I enjoy working out and just about any sort of adventure. I've tried swimming with dolphins, sharks, and stingrays and been cave tubing, kayaking, some sailing and the like. Needless to say, I'm not a real couch potato but have been known to follow American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, etc. THANK GOD FOR DVRs!! I suppose I'm unique in that at 45, a lot of my friends are still chasing children or being terrorized by teenagers while my one and only has flown the nest to attend college. It was hard at first but I consider myself one of the fortunate. It's great to have a college student when you still have the energy that a lot of them do. She and I have been described as twins 26 yrs apart and I don't think either of us would apologize for it. I enjoy any kind of music except for bluegrass, opera and classical. I've even been known to break out humming a show tune. I suppose the most unique part about me is that I don't need a drop of alcohol to have fun but yet can be just as down to earth and serious as you want. Just please keep it genuine.

It's a different world now so for safety's sake, maybe a coffee shop date would be appropriate for the first meeting. Unfortunately, I don't drink coffee, but I'm a sucker for all sorts of flavored teas so I think that would do. Just enjoying some good get to know you conversation while enjoying some sidewalk sights might be a nice way to start.
