I am a woman who loves making pottery, everything about the ocean, going to hear live music, exploring nature, and traveling. Other loves are movies, coffee, the saxophone and piano, cobblestone streets, windy days, and sharing a glass of wine and laughs with friends and family. I also cherish the quieter side of life, reading anything from Joseph Campbell and Gabriel Garcia Marquez to Louise Erdrich and Ann Tyler (science fiction, thrillers, and mysteries, too), cultivating an overgrown balcony, and communing with my 2 cats.

I am exhilarated by walks, hikes and bike rides but am much happier doing these things with others, as it is the shared experience that makes them special and just more fun.

I am a life-long very left-leaning liberal and don't consider that a social stigma. And although I left my political activism back in my high school days, it was forced to make somewhat of a comeback recently in response to being plunged into the Dark Ages for 8 years.

I would love to meet and share time with someone who is intelligent, inquisitive, self-aware and has a sense of humor. The "nons" that are important to me are being a non-smoker and non-religious, which does not necessarily preclude a spiritual nature. I am looking for a someone who is interested in genuine relationship, as I am.
Maybe Maya Angelou said it best: "Have enough courage to trust love one more time. And always one more time."
