Okay, a little about me... I've lived on both coasts and the Midwest, and I actually prefer the people in the Midwest. I love to read, write, watch movies, cook, listen to music (pretty much everything except rap), curl up with a good glass of wine, have an intelligent conversation and spend time outdoors (not necessarily in that order). I don't like large crowds, so while I enjoy going out to a bar occasionally, clubs just aren't my thing. And although I love texting, I can't stand text speak. I can somewhat understand when you ARE texting (I still rarely do it though), but when you're emailing someone... Come ON. It's not that difficult to type for and you. But I digress. All my interests come secondary to my children. They are my world and my absolute favorite thing to do is spend time with them. I am also incredibly protective of them. They live with me full time, so if you don't like kids, you can stop reading right here.

I'm a very positive person. I tend to look at the glass as being half full. I am also the one that my friends turn to for relationship advice... or to tell them how to say something tactfully. I'm also a little shy, but I usually warm up quickly.

What am I looking for? A man who can complement me - not necessarily compliment me, although that's always nice too. Someone who can make me laugh and keep a smile on my face. One with whom I can have an intelligent conversation about anything and know even if we have different viewpoints, we can agree to disagree. Someone who GETS me. And ultimately, if you've ever heard By Your Side by Sade... Yeah, I want that.

Oh! And in the spirit of being upfront, if your main goal in life is to hook up with as many women as possible or if you're primarily looking for a one night stand or a booty call, we wouldn't be a good match. Also, your time is valuable. I understand and respect that. Mine is as well. Please do the same.
