"25 random things about me" seems all the rage; so here's my 25:
1- I have this thing for Shakespeare
2- I glue maps on just about everything
3- I love living in my Rat City studio apartment
4- I’ve witnessed a hanging
5- I expect/intend to watch 1000 movies this year
6- The best thing I’ve ever done for myself was to participate in the Landmark Forum in 1993
7- I dislike fireworks and almost everything about them
8- I was asked to “not return” after an eventful 7th grade at the American School of Kuwait (sorry Mom)
9- At thirteen I was sent to spend a year sailing in the Bahamas in order to get some discipline
10- I’ve never been excited enough about money to focus on acquiring it
11- I am the best teacher of young children (3-7 years old) that I have ever known
12- I have never had more fun than driving a taxi in the middle of a riot (even better than snow or New Year’s Eve)
13- I have been to The Sudan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran
14- There is no period in my past that I don’t think of as the “good old days”
15- I was once missing and presumed to be quite dead (sorry Mom version 2.0)
16- I voted for Ronald Reagan in my first presidential election
17- I’m still not old enough to own a gun or a motorcycle
18- Watched Nolan Ryan strike out his 4,000th; throw a 1 hitter; and throw his final Major League pitch.
19- I am a cowardly danger junkie, an accurate oxymoron
20- My siblings seem convinced that I am my mother’s favorite child
21- My epic travel fantasies include riding “chicken buses” across Latin America to Tierra Del Fuego; and a leisurely sailboat trip around the World
22- I have a horrible habit of putting the onus of communication on my friends, I wait for YOU to call
23- I’ll write a book about Seattle in the early 1990’s when we were the center of so many human universes
24- I plan to show movies to people on the sidewalks and parking lots of Seattle
25- Yeah, I'm lazy; cutting and pasting this list here.

I love coffee, but I've decided all future first dates (or whatever you want to call it) should minimize the involvement of the beverage; or at the very least, the places serve it. I'll risk crashing and burning for some variety in life.
