About Me
My favorite profiles to read here, and I do READ profiles, are the ones where I feel that the other person is actually starting a conversation. I am jealous. I wish I could write so well. I will try. I am an easy-going individual. I do have a few, very few, shy tendencies, but I do think highly of myself (I was trying to word that so I would not sound arrogant, but I gave up). I am a big advocate of trying new things and always say you should try everything twice. I believe I got that line from Andrew Zimmer of "Bizarre Foods", but I think it has context outside of just trying new foods. Wait...yep, it was Zimmer. He said that before spitting out durian. I love durian. With that said, I am always looking for new and uncommon restaurants, and I judge them by their beer list. I get excited over trying different things and that includes trying different beers.
As you may have noticed by the pictures I have posted here, I do not smile much. I laugh all the time, though. I laugh at what some might consider inappropriate, but it keeps me entertained.
I love the winter and all the snow and cold weather that comes with the season. I know those feelings are not shared by many others, but the mountains I ski are always crowded, so I know I am not alone. Although it is not that important, it would be nice to find someone else who can ski or snowboard, or someone who has a desire to give either a shot.
Currently, I am a student studying engineering (it was either that or culinary school), so I do have quite a busy schedule. I try to keep weekends free. The studying is difficult, but I still enjoy what I do. If I did not, I would not stick around. I have a very nice part-time job which I thoroughly enjoy and which provides me with a great deal of entertainment despite having such an ominous title.
I am a very big fan of music. I listen to Classical music, Jazz, Blues, Bluegrass, Flamenco and Spanish Guitar, Classic Rock...everything with complicated instrumental arrangements. I know that makes me sound like a prude, but I get such a great overwhelming feeling when I am listening to works such as "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" or "1812 Overture".
As I said before, I am easy-going. I would be very happy hanging out talking, watching films, cooking, playing Nintendo Wii (which I have not even opened yet after owning for nearly a year), walking around town...the light and easy kind of stuff. But I would also be happy attending a Blue Man Group show or a belly dancing performance, hiking up north, skiing, scuba diving, skydiving, blah, blah, blah...the paths least traveled.
First Date
Make it easy. Conversation with more conversation. I prefer the typical date where we get to know each other over dinner and drinks.
rhymes with brew has 2 roses that can be sent.
