My hobbies are mostly reading, playing and listening to music (I play piano), watching movies on DVD, pursuing spiritual interests. I like all kind of music, from classical music (Beethoven is my favorite) to medieval and renaissance sacred music to modern rock (especially prog rock such as early Genesis) and Elton John (who inspired part of my user name). The other part of my display name, Buddha, reflects my deep non-religious spirituality. I've been nicknamed Buddha by more than one friend. I'm also very broadly informed and intelligent and can carry on conversation about almost anything, especially in science and technology and ideas.

To be frank, I really don't enjoy dating as an activity and never have. But I guess it's a neccessary evil when looking for new friendships with opposite sex people. Having said that, I do enjoy nice restaurants and going to movies (though it's not easy getting to know someone sitting in a dark room where conversation is frowned upon). I also like going to music concerts.
