I am in St Thomas and Puerto Rico at least for the winter but will travel.
When you think about how important finding the right person and being with them is the pain of having to travel or move to do so is trivial.

And YES I want to get married and have children with the right person!

Here is me.......
I have never stood still for very long and am always doing something. I don't only live out of the box but took it out back and burned it. I was a software developer for 15 years and traveled quite a bit during that time, all over the States and Europe, Japan once for 10 days, lived in Paris for 6 months so really appreciate other cultures that have strong roots. I speak Deutsch, Francais and Espana enough to get by and am currently trying to become proficient in Spanish since I am spending a lot of time in Puerto Rico and the Spanish Virgin Islands and will probably sell the place I have in St Thomas and buy one there.

During this time I snow skied at all the major US resorts as well as Chamonix and Tre-Valley in France a few times and became a pretty extreme skier( see pic of me jumping 40 cliff at Sqaw), Bought a sailboat and started sailing, had a Harley and hung out with the bike crowd for a bit, built the cabin and Chalet and started the vineyard in Luray, rebuilt my house in Pimmit and various odds and end..roller blading, cooking , wines, reading, beaches, swimming, rock climbing, diving blah blah blah.. I had time for it all because I don't watch TV I don't care about sports or entertainment celebrities, did not revolve my life around pets and am a bit of a spaz case.. I don't drive slow and when I do something I try to do it all the way.

I do have a daughter who is 21 and graduated double major in physics/english from UVA. We are emotionally close and she Rocks.. she was along with me on many of the trips and activities.. I have ALWAYS wanted more children but have yet to meet the right person to have them with.

Three years ago I sold my house bought a lot in the Virgin islands, the boat in Spain and have been building on the lot and sailing the boat around the Caribbean and Atlantic ever since. Pictures of all this is on the websites listed on my profile. Right now I working on my house in St Thomas..

Who am I looking for, what am I doing with my life? Basically anything new.. I don't want to get back into the suburban rat trap(it is NOT a race don't kid yourself) but I am almost totally flexible... I have lots of part time partners in crime and also simply get people off the internet for activity partners from sailing, rock climbing, skiing, social boards etc and also am more than comfortable just doing anything alone but a full time partner in crime is needed. And as to who that might be I don't know there is no set Type so ...

Someone asked where do I find spare time to do so much stuff....again I could be the biggest couch potato in the world...
I don't watch TV...there's nothing that means anything or matters one bit at all on it and it is just an escape or fantasy world for most people.. cracks me up when people say my team won..I'm like ..oh I didn't know you owned a professional sports team?

So "reality" is don't watch it except occasionally if it's on in a social setting that give me about an extra 50 days a year to DO things in my life.....

I do watch movies however...even I need to escape sometime :)
My favorites are the true escapism ones..not real life drama but fun stuff like the little mermaid...
Plus..I'm a spaz...ok maybe inpatient is a better word...High strung? type A? something along those lines...

Weight..this is a pet peeve of mine.. I search for thin, or athletic or average and someone who weighs more than me(185lbs) pops up. Please change your profile to a few extra pounds....
On the reverse I promise I will always do my best to stay in shape until the day I die..and not become complacent because I am in a committed relationship..you can always feel free to tell me I'm getting fat or pudgy and I should go try to climb a tree and shame myself into losing weight because I can't climb it..and I'll do something about it..even if it means a self inflicted liposuction....

AND FINALLY....this is way down here because if you haven't read this far you are probably just doing catch and release ... I want someone who has the ambition to LOOK for what they want not wait for just anybody to show up.

Why I wrote so much? Because I don't want our relationship to consist of getting to know each other and our past.... it should be our future...

Some random street corner in public..if things work what to do next will probably work itself out..coffee, a drink, a walk..nothing too planned..that adds a stress factor
Dinner is ok ..food fights can be fun... OR at some point take a nap..lets face it if you are comfortable enough to nap together the long term potential is THERE!!
On the beach or sailing is good too..some way to really see each other rather than nibble the edges.

Of course the trip to Paris for dinner works too..but then 2 years later someone will be saying "Well whatever happened to those trips we used to take to Europe for dinner.. why don't we do that every time we see each other anymore??" Thats why people become serial daters and end up on POF FOREVER!!!!!!! (I'm feeling evil right now and may delete this later)

ALSO!! I did the CHEMISTRY test on here twice and the results are wrong. I AM NOT EASYGOING AND I WORK ALL THE TIME!! I TRY to work at what I want when and where I want versus the corporate rattrap which I did for 15 years...of course when it is time to have fun and go party I work just as hard at that too :)) but I am A all the way... also
I have a LOT of self control and can focus deeply.. I was a very good software developer/analyst for 15 years .... I just exercise it judiciously.....
