Hi, Thanks for checking out my profile. Allow me to introduce myself...

My name is... Uh-Oh, the instructions said don't use your name. Soooo.. maybe I should just start out with trying to describe a little bit about myself. I'm one of those optomistic types who believe that the glass is always half full. Since my background is in science and engineering, most of my colleagues would say that the glass is just twice as big as it really needs to be, but I like to think that there should always be room for more.

I love music, and played the saxophone throughout high school and college. Dabbled with the piano for a while, and have settled in on learning the guitar. I enjoy a wide variety of music with the possible exceptions of rap and opera. In my opinion, the best opera was when Bugs Bunny sang the Barber of Seville. ( You know the one... Kill the Wabbit, Kill the Wabbit... ) I do have to admit to being drawn to the wonderful melodies of Bizet's Carmen. But hey, enough about that.

I do enjoy the outdoors, particularly boating. There is nothing like being anchored out and standing on deck, drink in hand, while watching the last crimson rays of the day settle over the horizon. There is just something about it that seems to put everything else into perspective.

Other interest? Hmmm.... Okay, I'll admit it. I love to cook. Please, don't beat me up on this one. Yeah, yeah, I know. a guy that actually likes to cook? But think about it. What could be better than preparing a meal for a group of friends? Having everyone gathered around the table, three different conversations going on at the same time, and somebody is in the living room calling out "Hey, which CD do we want to listen to next?"

My general philosophy? While it has been overused to the point of cliche', I do still believe that some of the best lessons in life we were taught while in Kindergarten. You know the ones - play nice, share your toys, tell the truth no matter what, and generally treat others how you would like them to treat you. Still good rules to live by.
