I am sure you have all experienced the same problem - sitting in front of a computer trying to figure out how to describe yourself. It is much harder than I thought.

But I will start off - obviously, I am a Billy Joel fan - but I am not a fanatic. I have went to almost all his concerts in the area and listen to his music (as well as many other artists) but no memorabilia or collections and no desire to have any. The truth is I had tried several other usernames and they kept getting denied. I happened to be listening to my Billy Joel concert cd and I thought why not?

As for more about me - I just started on my "second" career. I am/was a CPA but recently went back to school to get my teaching certificate. I just graduated this past December and am subbing until the next school year when my goal is to teach middle school or high school math. I know you all think I must be crazy, I have heard that more than once. And the truth is I was crazy for pursuing a career that I wasn't passionate about, but now I am just truly enjoying my life. I love working with teenagers and I love math! (As my kids would point out from that comment - "dork stamp")

That is something else others discover about me fairly quickly - I am a very passionate person about life and my relationships. I love the life I have and my friends and family - not that it is perfect by any means - far from it. I never beleived in divorce, but yet here I am. And its been stressful trying to take care of my family, go back to school, work, exercise and keep up on the normal household chores. But I do it - and every night I go to bed thanking God that I had a complete day.

As for my family and friends, I couldn't ask for a better group of people. They are always there for me and I for them. I love each one of them and learn so much from them all the time. I think that is one thing we so often miss out on in this world is learning from each other. We are so busy wondering what someone else is doing, who else we could be meeting, taking phone calls and texting that we forget to enjoy where we are now and listening to who we are with. That is the one thing you can be assure of that anytime I spend with someone is dedicated to them. (Now if we are just talking on the phone - sorry, I generally will be doing something else at the same time because I can't stand to sit and talk on the phone - not me at all)

As for the relationship I am looking for - I want someone that I can pour all of me into. I am not looking for anyone to "complete" me - I truly hate that concept. I think I am complete all on my own. I just want someone to share my life and their life together. I know that that will require compromising and changing my current life but what a small price to pay. I will let you know - if your not a touchy feely person - I would just drive you nuts! I love touching, holding hands, stroking hair, snuggling, any kind of connecting.

Well, there you have it....but not all of it, have to leave something to talk about, right?

A first date - I'll be honest here, I get so nervous from the excitement and anticiapation. But I think the first date should be about meeting each other - not about what you are doing. I would like just to go sit somewhere where we could talk face to face. Then if there is interest, we could plan a second date that would be along the lines of a "first" romantic date.

An ideal first romantic date...walk through the park or along the lake!
