I am an honest, caring person. I want to focus my emotional energies on a positive, happy future rather than the past. I wake up every day with a smile and look forward to each new day.

I have a dry sense of humor and come from a big family where teasing is viewed as a form of affection lol.

I like to spend time near water, on a boat, swimming or just sitting on shore enjoying the view.

I am lucky enough to have a secure job with good benefits that I love that challenges me intellectually. I am independent and not looking for anyone to take care of me, what I am seeking is someone to share things with.

I work out regularly and have found that it gives me so much more energy and helps to maintain a positive outlook on life.

I like to socialize and meet new people although I haven't done the dating thing for quite a few years so this is new to me.

I love to dance, although thus far I have had to settle for line dancing since you can do that without a partner. It has been so long since I have done any dancing as a couple I think I will need a remedial course...lol.

I am a great cook and I love to entertain, friends, family the more the merrier. My family (even my ex-inlaws) are very important to me and I make an effort to stay close with them all. My Irish clan is very large and we have reunions often, I find that its a great legacy to pass on to your children, they know that they are part of something larger and it gives them a real sense of belonging. We get a little crazy, and there are always stories to tell.

I have an active lifestyle and prefer to be out and about rather than sitting and watching tv. I am an avid reader, especially science fiction.

I am a girly girl and like to dress up ocassionally, but I am just as comfortable in jeans around a campfire.

I am looking for a man near my age, who is active, happy and fun to be with.
