Women friends want me to tell you that I am an intelligent & well rounded man, a listener, a romantic, a spirit guide, a caregiver, a handyman home owner, a caring cat & dog keeper and companion. I’m easy going. I take time to laugh & enjoy life. My eyes are hazel. My divorce was decades ago. No alimony had to be paid, no children were from it and no emotional hang-ups are left with me.

I'm a 60's man, if you remember what that means with the exception that I bucked the trend and never have gotten into drugs. I moved to Raleigh in 1985 from the Washington/Baltimore area where in the 70's and early 80’s I saw the starting of my writing poetry, taking copious pictures using twin 35mm SLR systems of people, animals, events & nature and of amateur & professional auto racing, dancers & actors.

In the late 70’s I stopped being an agnostic and began attending church regularly. During that period I trained and began performing as a liturgical and interactive mine clown. I believe one's decision about faith is personal. I have adorned the walls of my home owned since 1986 with artwork and crafts that express my various spiritual and artistic interests.

My musical interests are varied encompassing: Renaissance & Celtic; classical; folk; New Age; Native American; all modalities of rock & jazz. I generally avoid experiencing any music, movie or comedy laced with profanity or that presents a violent, sexist or demeaning message.

Gladly I will join you for a walk or drive somewhere, go to a beach or pool, attend a concert or event locally or out of town, enjoy good food and the good life and much more. I no longer ride a horse nor do I snow ski or ice skate. I once enjoyed these activities, but now I listen to my body warning me that I had best forego doing any of them at this time.

If the chemistry and timing are right for us, I am not afraid to show socially accepted affection towards you in public and mutual and personally accepted affection in private.

I drink wine on occasion limiting myself to a single glass. I don't smoke, or keep any scents about me, I like fresh air and prefer it to be that way, without a heavy natural or artificial fragrance permeating the air that I am breathing. Light use of perfume by you is OK.

Admittedly I have more women friends than men friends and I do enjoy meeting new people of both sexes. During an initial meeting with you and from time to time while conversing, you may have to insist that the conversation switch to being about you. I'll be very happy for the change in focus and to opening it to you. Sometimes I get on a track and I just don't know how to get off it. I do want to hear your story.

I freely laugh at myself and funny occasions and believe that sharing a hug, cuddle or kiss is food for the soul. I am open to express my feelings and to talk things out. I am constantly aware of the world around me using all of my senses.

In part this is who I am and have been. I would be honored if you chose to communicate with me to find out more and to share who you are during email, phone or in person conversations. I don’t text on my cell phone. Although I chose "dating" on this profile for what I am looking for, I am open to "long term" if the chemistry is there for us.
