It is not about the qualities you possess but the qualities I seek...an honest, dignified, traditional, compassionate, and respectful man who lives his life with integrity. Similar academic achievement is desired along with intelligence. Yes, I too have encounted educated fools. If we are not a match, I wish you the best in your search.

Love is the only value that one can add which is indispensable and irreplaceable and that is what I seek. I want someone I can respect and treasure...not here to waste your time or mine. Therefore, if I respond that I am not interested, do understand and refrain from sending nasty responses (or pleading for a chance); it was not my intention to insult your ego (and it is uncomfortable rejecting someone to begin with). I have a stable job, education, and house and have no reason to leap before looking. I dropped out of my doctorate program 3 classes short of my comprehensives and plan on going back to finish. Lastly, I tend to lend a helping hand when appropriate, so if you do not have a compassionate heart, I will drive you crazy. Have I eliminated 99.999% of my prospects yet?? I will confess that I have been told that "Happy" would be a befitting name for me since I am usually pretty upbeat and have a smile. :)

You might still not be the one despite possesing all qualities stated, but these are qualities that I find attractive, thereby increasing the chances of me falling in love hopefully. lol.

Your achievements should not define who you are. I am NOT looking or wanting to be "impressed", nor am I on a mission to find the "BEST" man on earth, or interested in finding 'perfection'. Simply looking for one I can respect, love, learn from, and, grow with. I am not concerned about fun and excitement that so many choose to sell, but instead, I seek substance which so few seem to possess.

ME:

I am pretty upbeat, simplistic, spontaneous, financially responsible, and, light-hearted. My friends and collegues seem to find me funny and fun to be around. You will very frequently find me singing despite not being able to carry a tune. I enjoy sprawling with my dog, being surrounded by nature, a good book, or a evening with close ones. In truth, I am no more than a little kid at heart who enjoys the simple pleasures in life...nothing like a beautiful sunset; the sound of the waves; the rustling of the leaves. I am pretty upbeat in life and get back on my feet pretty fast.

Am not sure if my strongest strength is 'empathy' or 'analytical'. I am overly forgiving by nature and prefer being around the same. Life is too short to be spent 'hating'. Wishing people would get along, be nicer and kinder, and just be happy. I conform to society's norms but live life standing by my principles. I believe that the man I choose to be with will never find reason for regret.

Life's basic principle: "To each their own as long as they do not infringe on the rights of another."

Hunting: Helps keep nature in balance. However, if you can look a helpless animal in the eye and put a bullet through its head/heart, I am just not the one for you.

Religion: I respect organized religion but do not favor it although I do visit places of worship with friends and am respectful of it. Personally, I feel how you live your life is more important than who or how much time you spend worshipping.

Kids: If you have kids, please be a responsibile parent. You do have obligations to your kids! They did not ask to be born...you chose to have them. Do not confuse your biological ABILITY to reproduce with a RIGHT to have kids.

Family: Family should always be respected...we all have our flaws.

Commitment: It is what lends us dignity...living up to our word.

Entitlement: Just because you breathe does not entitle you to anything. It is such a pity that so many have forgotten the concept of appreciation and gratitude and instead live in a pitfall of entitlement.

Kindness: It is what validates one's existence. If you do not make a difference in the life of people you meet, what meaning does life hold?

I have learned that it is not about the activity but the company. When you find the right one, the world takes on a new light and life takes on new meaning.
