Geeezz, this is tough. My hat is off to all of you that can express yourselves so eloquently. I'm much better with analytical stuff than I am with the poetry of language. I find myself making choices based on what you've written so it's safe to assume you are going to be doing the same to me. How can I convey a lifetime of experiences, my sense of humor, my needs and wants, all in a paragraph or two? As Charlie Brown used to say "Aauugghh"! Okay,okay.....I should stop analyzing and just start typing.........

There is your first glimpse of my personality. I tend to overanalyze stuff and then throw it all out and do the emotional thing, at least where my heart is concerned. The rest of my life is so stable it hurts. I've worked the same job for 20 years (because I love it and it's never boring). I love doing things I've never done and going places I've never been. I like watching NatGeo, the History Channel, and reading Discover magazine. I'm the kind of person who knows a little bit about a lot of things. I used to do a lot of physical activities but age is catching up and the thought of breaking something scares me now so I'm shifting to the softer side of life. A bike ride, a hike.......although kayaking and landsailing still pique my interest.

Now, who am I looking for? When I consider past relations....they were so different physically, in career choice and background. What they did have in common was a strong sense of self. Do I dare say, "I need a man" to be a man. Now there's a topic for conversation. Strong enough to be emotional once in awhile, to do the right thing because it's right, and to put his family and loved ones first.
