I love new experiences but sometimes need a "spark" to take off and go. I'd always rather "do it than watch it", but one of my favorite pastimes is to curl up with someone special and watch a good movie. I'll go almost anywhere and try almost anything art museum, Brewers games (once or twice a season), Farmers Markets, weekend Bed & Breakfast trips (anywhere from Door County to Madison or beyond), concerts (rock to classical). I'll do it all, but it's most fun with someone special. Physical contact (snuggling, holding hands, slow dancing, etc.) is very important to me. My sense of humor will span the range from slightly goofy to sarcastic to subtle but never mean spirited.
I keep an open mind to others thoughts and opinions. I'll ask lots of questions, but that's only to understand a different perspective better. In the end, I'm always ready to agree to disagree and go happily on (if we all thought the same it would be a truly boring world.) I am a golf nut to my core. No matter how it's going, walking the course is as peaceful and calming for me as it gets. That said, nobody has ever accused me of neglecting them to get in one more round.
While grand gestures are fun in a relationship, I think the small frequent things are the ones that build and maintain strong relationships. I'm surprised at how often I see references to there being no "gentlemen" left. I've never thought of myself as being unique in that respect, but maybe I should give myself a little more credit. Holding a door, offering a coat on a cool evening, things like this seem more like common courtesy to me that chivalry. Maybe they're not so common. (Did I mention that I can be introspective and at times a little long winded at times? ;-)

My two boys are very important to me so we spend a lot of time traveling from one sports or school event or another. We log a lot miles between football, baseball, wrestling and band concerts. Even so, I've still got plenty of room for the right lady.

Well that's me for the most part. If you're who I'm looking for you're active, ready to be as supportive of my values and hobbies as I will be of yours, ready to help me spontaneously tap into my creative streak (the "spark"), you'll have a wild side that comes out at the right times and are willing to be a part of the family (if it gets that far) without needing to be a mother to my boys (we'd like a complete family but they already have a mother). If you would include playing golf as part of a "dream date" I'm yours for the taking ;-) !

But first, let's start by having some fun...

I'm going to separate this into "First Meeting" and "First Date."
First Meeting: Would be someplace we both feel comfortable. Someplace we can sit and talk for a while voer a cup of coffee, glass of wine or a good micro-brew and see what develops.

First Date: Let's see where the first meeting takes us, I'm sure we'll come up with an idea. It'll probably be some place with an activity of some kind and yet a place we can continue talking and building. Maybe the Art Museum or Public Museum, the Domes, rollerblading/biking by the lake, etc. Any place that gives us a chance to experience something together and see how we react to it.
