I thought I would join PlentyOfFish.com as I do not frequent bars and do not think it is appropriate to date anyone from work.
I am seeking one special lady for a monogamous and fun LTR (Long Term Relationship). This friendship/relationship should be drama-free who has similar interests and habits (non-smoker, social drinker, and non-drug user).
One of my favorite interests is traveling and I derive great pleasure from it. Special destinations to date are almost all of Europe, England, Ireland, Scotland, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean. All my travels have been for vacations only (not work related).
Let's not forget local week-end trips to Naples, Orlando, St. Augustine and the Florida Keys.
I am a bit of an old-fashion mid-western man (from Detroit, Michigan ) who believes in treating a woman like a lady (i.e. opening doors, pulling out chairs, cards, flowers and remembering important dates). I am a romantic at heart – but I also have a devilish side ---so beware!
I do like animals, but presently do not have any. Since I am highly allergic to cats, I apologize in advance to indoor cat lovers. I am NOT allergic to any other animals and would welcome the opportunity to get to know you and your pet. So I can not date anyone who has indoor cats. My allergy to cats makes my blue blue eyes red and watery. ;-(
I do not have any family here in South Florida. But I do have several married couples here, who I have been friends with for 20+ years. I have been in S. FL since 1979, when I finished my 4 years tour of duty with Uncle Sam, in the U.S. Navy.
I have been divorced for 10 years.
I do not have a motorcycle, any tattoos or piercings. But it is fine, if you do!
Just beware, I am a Mid-Western man, who is mischievous and playful at times.

The first date... is about chatting and getting to know each other. So some place that is public and quiet, so we can hear each other.
I do believe that intelligence mixed with humor can be very sexy.

 | I considered myself lucky enough to have met Scott. I learned that he was a very smart man. A very romantic man -- he does what others men say they will do. But at other times, he had me laughing so hard, I nearly messed myself.
I would have loved to know him better, but my mom had an an illness, which caused me to move back up North at a moment's notice. My Mom would have loved to have met him... after she has heard stories, from me, about him.
Updated 12/2009. My Mom has adopted Scott - as her son. Recently the 3 of us had a nice luncheon and she told me that she was sorry that I had to move to the North East to care for her. She thought he was quite a guy. |
