My name is Danielle. I was a university student up until the end of April. I just started working full time, with a fantastic company, here in Waterloo. I'm very independent, somewhat opinionated, and maybe just a little stubborn (but I'm half Italian... so that's probably why! :P). I'm a no-BS kind of girl, usually quite sarcastic, and I'm very goal oriented. I plan to be a licensed Engineer in Canada and the U.S. in 3 years, and will own my own place soon after I figure out what region I want to stay in.

A bit about me:
I LOVE the water. I swam competitively for 10+ years (had to give it up in university), have spent summers on the family boat on the water since I was 6, will be taking scuba classes soon so that I can go diving on my various travels, and just love sitting on the dock in the summer and listening to the water.
I love spending time outside. Winter walks when it's snowing, summer camping trips, hikes, and long bike rides are my favourite.
I have always had the travel bug. Seeing new places, trying new things, and experiencing different cultures. I aspire to travel to as many places around the world as I feasibly can, and would love to meet someone interested in joining me.
I am an avid volunteer and was extensively involved in my university community.
I have a soft spot for animals of all kinds, but dogs are definitely my favourite.
I watch a lot of tv shows, sports (mostly hockey, soccer, and UFC), and movies... and I'll pretty much watch any genre... horror movies are one of my favourites, but I haven't watched many lately since no one wants to watch them with me! Will you?

I go to a ton of rock concerts, and I have travelled to many cities to see some of my favourite bands play. There aren't many things better than being in the front of a pit of crazy fans enjoying a live show.
I like most any kind of music, though my preferences are hard rock, metal, and industrial. A few of my favourite bands include Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Slipknot, Foo Fighters, and so many others. I love talking about music, and I particularly enjoy discovering new music/bands, so if you've got any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

I can't think of a better place to live than Canada. The weather here is awesome... tons of snow in the winter, and it's hot enough in the summer to head up to the cottage and go waterskiing or swimming.


I'm looking to meet/talk to some new people, so if you see something that interests you, feel free to contact me. I'm pretty shy with new people, so I'm not likely to make the first move, but I'd love to hear from you.
