As my username suggests, I enjoy humour, wit and word play and I hope you chuckled when you read it. I am not bald.

I hope I can make you laugh, and if you reward me with a good laugh and beaming smile it is likely I will conspire to do so again and again. Hopefully you can make me laugh too and you will find that equally rewarding.

I am on a path of personal growth and I am at a stage in my life where I seek out friends. I hope to find amongst my friends that special someone to grow old with, and perhaps you are the one.

In contrast to my personal growth I'm also on path of waistline shrinkage, and continued improved fitness.

I am a firm believer that honesty and good communication are the paving stones for the path we may journey together. Sometimes one of us wants hotter, slower, higher, more, further, etc. while the other wants the opposite. We need to communicate our differences as well as our commonalities.

Should we meet I think you'll agree I've described myself here honestly. Dishonesty in a profile (age, weight, smoker, etc.) may contribute to our first meeting also being our last.

No doubt some will wonder about my marital status. I've not seen her in years and the gears grind slowly towards to completing the split.

I would like to find someone with whom I can share activities, thoughts, and conversations. I want to share hugs and kisses too. Yes, bring on the hugs!

I am generally well-liked, reasonably gregarious and outgoing and I think you'll find me to be interesting.

I am a fair cook, tend to prepare healthy meals, like foods with spice and zing, ready to experiment with exotic recipes, or create my own. I am comfortable inviting friends for potluck and an evening of card play.

My favourite card game is Cinch! Do you know it, or want to learn?

While my efforts with an artist's brush on canvas or with clay on potter's wheel would be futile, I enjoy being creative in other ways.

Some time ago I vowed to make someone's day every day. This proves difficult at times, especially when I forget, but is so rewarding when it happens.

If you're looking for the silent macho type of guy who doesn't communicate you'll have to keep looking, because that isn't me. In many ways I'm the atypical man, and I will stop and ask for directions. Now if only I could find my way out of here.

I've read all the Harry Potter books and wait for the movies series to be completed also. Yes, I do enjoy movies from drama, humour to science fiction but I'll pass on the gore or horror.

No rap or opera for me but most other styles of music I like. I wear ear plugs to protect my ears and spare me the physical pain from excessively loud music but that doesn't prevent me from enjoying the music or dancing. I hope you enjoy dancing!

I admit that Salsa music and dance baffles me, so I will need private lessons. Will you tutor me?

As to sports, I am an avid cyclist, but an athlete I'm not. I am a fan of the Vancouver Canucks.

I tried peddling my butt, but that didn't fetch a good price, so now I pedal it. My bicycle has replaced my motorcycle as first choice for mode of transportation if practical.

While not fanatical about it I tend to make environmentally-friendly choices.

Are you a romantic? I am one, sometimes hopeful, sometimes hopeless.

I have been asked what do I want in a woman. You'll note I don't mention any preferences for physical attributes. It isn't because I don't have any, because I do have them and I'll tell you what they are if you ask, but that I am open-minded and your inner beauty is more important to me.

The human brain is our biggest sex organ and I want a woman who shares my sense of humour. We need to be able to laugh together, including at ourselves. I want a woman who is both naughty and nice, who is warm, gentle, funny, affectionate, smart, witty, and articulate and I hope it isn't too much to ask she be loving, honest, trusting and respectful.

I want a critically-thinking woman with the presence of mind not to make assumptions or be quick to jump to conclusions.

I want a gal who stands up for herself and doesn't take any crap, not even from me, a woman who has self-confidence and is okay with herself and her body, even if it is imperfect in her opinion. Do I get to vote too?

I want a woman who can face both me and the scent-sensitive world without needing abundant applications of cosmetic makeup or perfume, for I prefer the natural qualities you might have. Quoting a fellow POF'r "Getting close enough to smell you should be a reward, not a punishment."

That is the kind of woman I would love, trust, honour and respect deeply. Are you the one? Have I described you?

I will consider venturing out of my comfort zone to do with you some things you like.

So... should we to put out heads together and discover what things we have in common and also what things of ours of are out each other's comfort zones?

As I am an event host who may need to answer questions from guests I haven't blocked smokers from writing. However I am not interested in dating a smoker.

If I've added you to my favorites but I don't write to you it is likely because I wish to but cannot, because your mail settings (ie. age or distance or gender) deny me writing first. I am trying to get your attention, trying to contact you about a POF event, or something you have posted in the forums. So in this case it is up to you to lift the magic spell and write first. Of course I will reply.

I prefer we simply meet first. Frankly I'd prefer to meet soon instead of endless email exchanges for that way we'll soon find out if there is any chemistry between us. When we meet we will play it by ear and see where our feet and our hearts lead us.

A walk along Willingdon Beach Trail or perhaps a Thai lunch would suit me fine.

As I'm not much of a bar fly but it seems that is where we must go to dance. I prefer to make your acquaintance in a somewhat more intimate environment where we can talk instead of needing to shout over the din of a crowd and loud music, but I do remain open to wherever the opportunities present themselves to me.
