About my life and what I'm looking for

I consider myself a fairly interesting, easy to get along with fellow. For the most part I enjoy pretty low key activities:

Futurama marathon? Yes let's.
Dancing? Ugg, do we have to?
Eating take-out and watching Antiques Roadshow? Yes, please.
Party? Eeek, not too many people I hope.
Take a stroll and grab donuts along the way? I already have my shoes and donut pants on.

I like to cook, but I often go overboard and end up with some incongruent concoction that I go to great lengths to convince myself is delicious. My carmelized onion pancakes with spicy sour cream comes to mind.

I have an awesome daughter who lives with me half of the week.

I'd like to meet someone who is equally low-key, but not so low-key that we somnambulate too much.

The big caveat is that I am currently separated (filed 2 weeks ago).


for fun:
Given my druthers, I'd be reading, watching movies, cooking/eating and perhaps walking. My ideal partner would geek out with me on Antiques Roadshow.

my job:
I am an electron microscopist. Its pretty neat.

my education:
Associate degree currently. Working on my bachelors. I did have a brief stint at college immediately after high school, but I consider that a failed experiment.


favorite hot spots:

Half-Price books is fun. Okay this is weird but I like wandering around grocery stores and looking at all the different olives, salad dressings, weird jams, etc. I don't necessarily buy much or any of these things, I just like perusing.
favorite things:

I really like going for walks. I am currently in deep withdrawal due to the weather.

last read:
I have a nasty habit of reading a half dozen old sf novels at the same time.

What would I do for a date?

Anything up to and including that which I would do for a klondike bar.
