I think my closest friends would tell you that I'm a genuine, down to earth, even-keel kind of guy. I'll admit that I can be a little shy and serious at first glance, but there is also a very passionate and fun-loving side to me. I enjoy an intelligent, serious conversation with friends just as much as I love to smile, laugh, crack jokes, and have fun (and as much as I like to make other people smile and laugh). I definitely have an appreciation for the simple things in life — things like watching a sunset, listening to a favorite song, spending quality time with people I care about, etc.

For work, I have a great job at a local university. I also run my own freelance design and communication business on the side (in other words, Web design, graphic design, marketing, etc).

I'm hoping to meet truly genuine, down to earth, friendly guys. My number one priority right now is to make new friends and expand my social circle. I'm definitely open to dating and something long term with the right guy, but there's no rush. My dating experience tells me that when you move too fast, things don't last, so let's just get to know each other as friends and people first.

I'm definitely a quality over quantity kind of guy. As a result, I have NO interest in hook-ups, "friends with benefits," or flakes.

I think something low key (like coffee, lunch, or a walk though Balboa Park) is great as it allows you to talk and begin to get to know the other person.
