Hi there! I hope you enjoy skydiving or are at least curious about it. I'm an avid skydiver (1,400+ jumps) and spend most weekends out at the dropzone with friends. I'm looking to find someone I can share my life with, but who is also comfortable doing her own thing every once in awhile.
I’ve gone through my life and realized the things that I want in a relationship. First and foremost, I want someone who enjoys life and can make herself happy (versus depending on me to make her happy). Someone who is independent, but also appreciates attention and occasional help. I don’t want someone who is needy or constantly looking for self assurance, but instead is confident in herself and can balance personal needs using affection as “icing on the cake” versus a “need”. Ideally, someone who can share and enjoy 70% of the same things I do, but is happy doing her own thing as well without hesitation or complaint. Basically, I want someone that can complement my life (and me hers) without being consumed by the relationship.

Who am I and what can I offer back? I think one of my best traits is how I treat the people I care about. I believe in chivalry (opening doors, taking care of my partner, etc.) and have a strong sense of loyalty to those I care for. Another trait I’m proud of is my intelligence and wit. Writing this seems so egotistical, but I’ve always had a knack for understanding things and am actually quite proud of this ability; but at the same time having enough humility to know when I don’t know something, or am wrong, and am willing to learn. I also have a very easy going nature. It takes a lot to get me ruffled and I’ve learned in the last 10 years to be much more easy going. I can still get worked up at times and will stand up for myself (and others I’m with), but for the most part I’ve learned to be very even tempered and easy going.

At this stage of my life, I want to find someone who can truly complement me and someone I can settle down with for the rest of my life.

A first date? Well, the first date with someone is always the most stressful and I would keep it low key (coffee house, lunch, something simple). This gives a nice, no pressure environment to get to know someone. It's the second date that I would bring you out and throw you out of an airplane! (skydiving that is). All kidding aside, the dates I would like to have would mirror the person I'm trying to find; low key but fun. Biking by the lakeshore, going to a comedy club, going to a Japanese steakhouse for hibachi, etc.
