My name is Erasmo. I grew up in South America, and moved to the US in 1996. I've lived in the Bay Area ever since. Before then, I spent a year and a half in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Spanish is still my first language, but I speak English most of the time. Yes, I do have an accent.

I lost 83 pounds, and continue to work loosing the last few. I go mountain biking 5+ times a week. I'm keeping a photo log on my profile, to track the progress. If you're struggling with your weigh and/or or trying to get in shape, we can work together and motivate each other. I love exercising outdoors, rather than at the gym.

During the day I work as a Sales Engineer, but all that changes with the twilight. At sunset and sunrise I go out to photograph natural landscapes. About six months after I took photography as a hobby, I started selling my work at Art & Wine festivals all over the Bay area. Photography helped me developed a connection with nature I didn't have before. I often go for strenuous and even dangerous hikes with 30 pounds of camera equipment in my backpack. I have achieved many of my goals, work is no longer the center of my life, now I want reap the benefits and enjoy life. I love dining out, wine tasting, traveling, biking, hiking, running, driving down the coast with the top down, you name it. I take photography trips to amazing places, and I would love to bring that special person along with me.

I'm an animal lover. I grew up with dogs, and occasionally take care of my friends dog. I have a cat that love it as I would my own child. I care a great deal about the environment, and never leave anything more than footsteps when I go on my photography trips.

I keep up with current events, care a lot about politics, and became a US citizen in '06 just for the privilege of voting. I'm politically liberal, and hope to meet a like minded soul out there.

Its difficult to say who am I looking for. Perhaps most important to me, besides chemistry, is that we share the same liberal values, that you're kind to animals and the environment (don't think Global Warming is a hoax), maybe care a bit about politics (or at least vote), do not lie (nor coax me into lie on your behalf) and you're not pushy. Is that a lot? I hope not. Let's take it one day at a time.
