I recently moved to Fayetteville, WV for a new job after wandering around living in a camper for a few years as a field geologist. The social scene around here definitely leaves much to be desired. I'm looking for someone who shares similar interests. I love music (folk, rock, indie, bluegrass, jam bands, jazz, blues, old country), especially in a live setting. Some of my favorites are Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Felice Brothers, Railroad Earth, Medeski, Martin, and Wood, and Ryan Adams. I love a variety of arts, and love to get away to museums. I prefer to be outdoors as much as possible; Backpacking, camping, fishing, and kayaking comprise much of my free time. I love exploring new and interesting places. I value good conversation, an open mind and intelligence. Traveling to interesting places is a must for me a few times a year. Equador>Galapagas is what I'm striving for next. I try to be a good person, and work hard to fulfill my dreams and goals. I just finished building a cabin on a few acres and have an enjoyable job as a geologist trying to make a difference in the world. I have a young siberian husky who also keeps me active. I care about environmental issues and conservation. I prefer local restraunts to chains, and rarely eat fast food unless it's the only option. I'm also looking for friends and interesting people to talk to, and I'm rather skeptical of using an internet dating site to find someone I really connect with, but it's worth a shot.

I'm not much of a dinner and movie person...more of a picnic in a scenic setting or concert and some local food type. I'm not into loud bars, but enjoy a laid back pub with good food and a decent beer selection. Live music is a plus.
