I've always been global in mindset, loving ethnic neighborhoods, food, museums and culture. Yet, I never travelled abroad until last year. Have been working to change that in a big way.

Went to Budapest/Vienna/Prague last November and to Norway and Denmark in May, which in and of itself tells you a lot about me. I'd much rather explore some place a bit off the beaten path than sit on the beach for a week.

While in Europe, I got to take part in one of my favorite activities: trying ethnic food. I tried pork knee in Prague; reindeer steak and whale carpaccio in Norway. No, not a vegetarian obviously. I also went to some soccer games, took a boat cruise on the fjords, hit up a museum or two (or five or six...), and found the time to do some hiking.

Just booked a trip to Japan, which should be amazing.

I'm openminded, thoroughly independent, and adventurous and looking for that someone special with whom to explore Chicago and beyond. C'mon, let's go!
