Hi :) My name is Josh.


I am an X military guy, originally from Washington state and I have lived all over the country. I have seen some of the world so I have a different perspective on life than the "average" guy. I am a very motivated, upward moving type of person. I love to live adventurously and see the world! Life lived without any sort of impulsive actions or adventures is not fun at all. That'd be a waste.


I was planning on being a super hero, but now my goal in life is to be a professional writer. I love literature and the written word. . even more than saving the world. However, I do not plan on ever being a starving artist, so I am heavily entrenched in the business world right now to have a "day job." Actually being good at my "day job" and having made a very successful living in the past is an added bonus to this plan. If I ever decide to give up on the whole writing thing in the future and take up fighting crime again, super gadgets and spandex costumes don't come cheap. However, spandex does not agree with me... Perhaps leather could work....


I am planning on moving from WV soon. I basically have it narrowed down now to either Texas, or my native Pacific Northwest. Hopefully if I go back to Washington I won't encounter any moody, sparkly vampires.

I am not afraid of the phone or texting, and I do try to get on yahoo messenger at least a few nights a week. As I am getting to know people, I like to interact on faceboof. And yes, the typo was intentional there.

My match would have to be an intelligent, goal driven, romantic lady, and have a geeky or artistic side. "Normal" people who work 8 hour days, come home to watch TV all night, then go to bed are deadly dull to me. I like to have an exciting life, so I need someone with a sense of adventure in addition to the intellect and knowledge to have deep conversations.

I would prefer a women who is health conscious and/or athletic. Health is very important to me.

I like to play sports - not watch them. I am not the type of guy who wants to talk about a fantasy football team - I would much rather talk about a director's motivation behind a particular film or what the possible effects of a political move are.

I've been doing various martial arts for 12 years and I used to teach Kenpo and women's self defense. I hunt, I fish, I hike, I sing, I dance, I write, I draw, I love video games and public speaking... I feel like I am a pretty well rounded person. I pick up hobbies like a dog picks up fleas.

I am a very dominant, masculine, intelligent man. From what I understand, the mix of masculinity and artistic sensitivity that makes me who I am is very rare. I think it's because I'm from another planet. Or perhaps my mom ate a bunch of Pop Rocks, Mountain Dew, and steak when she was pregant with me. I don't know.

I like being a geek. :) I am proud of being who and what I am. I would like to find a lady who is just as happy being herself, and is the yin to my yang. I find femininity sexy.

It totally depends on the person. I'm pretty much a go-with-the-flow sort of guy after the first few dates. Usually after the first few dates, the intense mutual scrutiny phase is over and it's easier to relax.
