I love all sorts of music. I was classically trained in opera and played the cello for a number of years. My current favorite genre of music is symphonic metal. I love the integration of hard rock with classical elements. (Kamelot, Within Temptation, Nightwish, and Apocalyptica are a few of my favorites.) I love watching performers on stage and will listen to just about any type of music. I used to sing national anthems at sporting events and now sing with a local choir for fun.

In general, I'm fairly low key and low maintenance. My favorite activity is taking a walk in the sunshine. I've found that 7am on a summer morning is the absolute best time of day for it. I go to the gym a lot but I'm naturally a curvy girl. I'll never be one of those stick thin model types but I do my best to take care of myself. I'm a fairly simple person at heart. I still check out library books every few weeks to keep my mind active. I love to write as well though I don't always have as much time for it as I'd like. I have a dog I adopted from the local shelter. She's a border collie mix who was a rescued stray. She was scared of her own shadow when she first came here so I like to spend time working and playing with her.

I have a steady job with a big company. Having a good work ethic is important to me but I won't allow my job to take over all of my free time. It's not my dream job but it's a good company and a steady check. I'm hoping to earn my CPA license before the end of the year and begin working as a CPA.

Ok, I'm going to be blunt for a moment: I don't want kids. At all. If you already have them or know you will want some in the future, I'm not the right match for you. I know it's a little premature to talk about childbearing but I don't want to waste someone's time.

I've found that while opposites attract, they are rarely compatible for the long term. I'd really like to find someone close to my own age with a similar background, education, and career aspirations.
