No girls, my life is not all outdoors. :-) Seems I get a lot of "you’re really too outdoorsy" comments. It's an interest, not my entire life. I am a parent and my main interest and love is my daughter who lives with me full time. But the outdoors does lead the way I look at things. Technology is great and I have been on the leading edge for years, but the basics of life require nothing more than one's own self and spirit. On that you can always rely. :-) My daughter shares my love of outdoors and takes it further by really knowing, loving and caring for animals of any kind. Combined we have shared many memories traveling and exploring this country. We try to make every trip a new destination and a new experience.

I spend all day using my mind running a Business Intelligence division of a consulting firm. I also provide the pre-sales support for the organization. This means I am not only very technically savvy; I am also quite an extrovert and conversationalist (and have the ability to make just about anyone laugh). So getting out from behind a desk and a computer feeling the earth really balances me out. I go from a week of using my brain to a weekend of using my hands.

I do love the great outdoors and try to be outside anytime of the year. Much of the time is simply hiking in the local preserves or working around the house. When I can I love to take my daughter up north for a week fishing or a weekend camping. My camera is with us all the time as I love to take pictures and hang my works around the house capturing the many happy moments and laughter.
For adult time it usually simple as well, conversations with friends around a bonfire at home and dinner during the colder months inside.
Work keeps me busy during the week; however my position allows me plenty of flexibility. I can work a series of long days to get a project done, and then take a day off for myself.
My friends would say that I am very dependable, honest and have always been there for them when needed and I have a witty humor. Most of my friendships have been formed over many years and distance has not weakened them.
I pride myself on honesty (I’d rather say nothing than lie) and commitment to family and friends. I find humor in everything.....mostly myself :-)
I love to get outside anytime of the year. Either for weekend outdoor trips or simply working around the yard landscaping, gardening or simply working on some house project (I am very handy with my hands as well as my mind)
I am a very well rounded adaptable individual with one constant, I love my daughter. If it wasn't for my career I'd live the simple life with nature hiking, camping, fishing and kayaking anything outdoors. I enjoy taking trips, even for just the weekend, to Wisconsin with the pop-up and exploring little towns to see what the local flavor has to offer.

I'm looking for someone who is down to earth. Who can get dirty one day hiking, camping, kayaking, working in the garden and enjoy a dressed up night on the town the next day (week). It’s about enjoying life on many different levels without the need of the all the trappings to achieve happiness. I’m looking for someone whom to share the joys of life with. To start as friends and see where it goes from there. Someone who wants, but doesn’t need, a strong shoulder and hand to partner with. Who would love to have someone to call upon, to share with and to laugh as much as possible.
By the way, I love good beer.
I also enjoy an evening, weekend on the town. Love to go downtown for a weekend of a the theatre, dining and just exploring.
