About Me
I am 65, a widower for 12 years, live on my sailboat near the small island of Culebra, just 18 miles from Puerto Rico and about 18 miles from the US Virgin Islands. I like to cruise the Spanish, US and British Virgin Islands and would like some female company. I have a small mixed breed dog that has become known as the Culebra mascot; her name is Lucy. The Culebra Calendar featured a picture of me on my bike with Lucy in her basket. I'd like to meet an adventurous lady between the ages of 45 and 90 who would like to sail around the islands, snorkel the reefs while I(OR WE) catch a fish or two for our dinner ,watch a full moon rise over the azure caribbean waters, listen to water music under a star-lit sky, explore uninhabited islands, hike up to Ram's Head, on St John, check out the sights at The Bitter End, on Tortola, see and hike through The Baths or stop on Jost Van Dyke for a beer. There are so many beautiful places to go, so little time, so send me an email and let's get acquainted. I like to bake multi-grain bread in a solar oven, eat healthy, swim, wind surf, dinghy sail, and sharing my love of sailing. I have spent most of the last 20 years in the Caribbean; every summer I return to my home state of Wisconsin where I live on a boat that I did day sails on for many years. I know many folks both in the Caribbean and Door County Wisconsin if you would like references, let me know. To visit, you would fly into San Juan, Puerto Rico and either take the ferry from Fajardo, or book a flight on a local island hopper,Flamingo Air and Lucy and I would meet you at the airport. Our biggest expense would be food(I would take care of the boat)as the entertainment is there for us as we welcome each new day here in what is so often referred to as Paradise. I like all music, but my favorite is the distant sound of the surf breakig on the reef in a beautiful and protected anchorage I hope my life style appeals to you, if it does, let's get to know each other through emails or call me. P.S. No sailing experience necessary.
