Getting to know someone takes more then a couple minutes so . . . . take a slow deep breath and enjoy the process.

Personally I'll be much happier out of the dating scene and spending my time with one person. OK here we go . . my likes, priorities & values. I prefer meeting a man who is out going enough to share a lot about himself without me having to pull it out
of him.

I really enjoy a good sense of humor, if it's not used to hide behind. Been there, done that. It's like trying to get to know a shadow. I look forward to peeling away the veils and touch the heart of the person underneath.

I'll attempt here to let you know "where I come from" or where I want to go. But I'll leave some for future meetings. I moved here from Hawaii to be around advocates (for children's rights & to protect the environment ). I left the Hawaiian Islands because I found a great deal of apathy there The green rain forests are being cut down and homes are covering what WAS land covered with mangos & guava trees. The air is rich with the sent of mangos and ginger flowers. God, I love nature.


I do Not focus on what's wrong. I focus on what's good. Here in the city I really enjoy the richness of the diverse people & the easy following intelligent conversations. I find people on the most part here, very friendly, intelligent & quick to talk about politics or any one of a number of topics.

When I left Hawaii In the back of my head I was thinking "wouldn't it be nice to meet my soul mate here and We could move back to Hawaii some day". Well, of course we don't know what life is going to throw our way but I would like to share life with a loving, thoughtful, stimulating man.

I feel one of the most important qualities I seek in another person is the willingness and ability to communicate in a fair, direct and loving manner. Also, I Highly value friendship. I very much dislike arguing. I'm a supportive, caring, warm person. In the beginning of a relationship I keep my sexuality, on the back burner. I enjoy the process of growing closer.

I want to mention, please be someone looking to meet your LIFE TIME partner and if you are younger then 57, I'm flattered (and perhaps we could take in a movIe some time) but I feel a good match for me for a long term commitment would be man who is between 60 and 65. When I first filled out the information for an account here, since I look much younger then I am and I know how VERY important chemistry is to most of you, well . . . . um . . . I lied. Then, went I went back to change my age I wasn't allowed to. OK, OK now here is where I lose most of you . . . I'm close to 60 Remember, I'm young at heart.


I'm happy to say my friends tell me I'm funny. I've enjoyed doing some improv (strictly for fun), in Woodstock NY and San Francisco.


I would like to meet a mature man who realizes in life there are moments of wonderous joy to share and moments of struggle. My wish is he woulld be mature enough to work out any difficult passages and spontanious enough to seize the moments this monumentious life experience brings us. And let's get real, there will be ups and downs for all of us. I am a sane person who seeks a imperfectly sane person. You Must see life as "the glass half full". I Love to laugh and be playful.




As far as my values, it matters to me not how thick your wallet is or the ripples of your abs. It matters to me what is in your heart and what your prorities/values are. Tell me what your passions are. Take the time to let me know about you. This is the language I speak. I'm not much of a person for small talk, never have been. In Hawaii it's called "talking story".

love children, horses, dogs, birds,
cooking healthy meals

I'm also Very Happy with simple pleasures like having good friends over for a pot luck dinner. How heart warming to hear the laughter and to share life's stories. This is truly life's riches & joys you can share with others right in your own back yard, or front room. ortant for Me to get involved in public awarness concerning global warming. This does not extinguish my ability to see the simple beauty around me, weather it's a bird singing from a lamp pole or the smile on a babies face. My goals are to
1. to enjoy a peacful mindset through mindfulness meditation and comunining with nature.
2. be an advocate for the environment through public awarness concerning global warming,
3. enjoying being Very close to nature
4. Once I have a relationshilp established the most enjoyable evening I can think of is to have good friends over for pot luck dinners, lots of laughs and meaningful conversation.

Here are some ideas for a first date.
1. I would enjoy going out for a cup of coffee & conversation.
2. Listen to a darma talk together and discuss
3 Listen to some good old blues or jazz at a club
4. See a movie we both are interested in (good movies are very hard to find) then out for coffee to discuss it
5. Attend a disscusion group of the "New Philosphers" and out for coffee afterwards. It isn't as dry or loafty as it may sound.
