I like poetry, long walks on the beach and poking dead things with a stick.

My goal on POF - friends ---> dating -----> long term.
I have figuratively been all over this world, and have somehow missed meeting (or eluded) that “perfect” someone. So like everyone else on here, I’ve turned to the Internet in hopes that there is one last rock I haven’t looked under. And while I’m pragmatic enough to realize that POF may not find my “perfect” someone; I’m sentimental enough to still expect love to be something that curls my toes and distracts me during the day. What’s the worst that can happen by saying hello? We find out we’re not compatible. Of course there’s a possibility of a great dinner and conversation. Risk to gain ratio seems to be in our favor. I guess I am just silly enough to think getting to know someone is supposed to be fun.

I am a professional with a couple of degrees, working on my 3rd. My sense of humor is fairly warped and messed up and a little on the sarcastic side. I guess that makes me an educated smartass...

I believe in eating right and being healthy. I workout at the gym daily and eat a lot of organic/natural food and soy products. I also eat a lot of junk but I try and balance it with the good stuff.

I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines.
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way.

If you’re closed minded to other people and cultures or you’re overly materialistic and wasteful, we're probably not a good match.

If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think
it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to
teach him to do some tricks. But only if you're serious about adopting

A few favorite things to do in the STL area are wine tasting, summer concerts, lounging in the backyard with ice tea while reading a book, jogging/biking, art exhibits, BBQs with friends (I make a mean kabob), and pool/darts at the local watering hole.
I am a "serious member" of POF but I am not going to pay $10 per month just to have a silly yellow dot put on my profile.
