Looking for a special someone who has quality time to spend with a fun-loving, kind, inquisitive, no-baggage, adventurous woman. I enjoy people who are open-minded; who can have an in-depth discussion and not consider it an argument; and who know it is ok to agree to disagree. I have an eclectic collection of friends and seek a close friend who is as comfortable with popcorn or hot dogs as with lobster or chateaubriand. I'm straight-forward and honest and expect the same.

To date, my greatest accomplishment has been to raise two amazing, caring, talented, contributing members to this society. Our house was always the gathering place for teens -- not because things were lax, quite the contrary, but the strict rules and open, honest communications helped everyone grow, laugh and learn.

Am now an "empty nester" (I prefer to call it "free bird") and am enjoying having time -- time to rediscover travel,--time to be surrounded by music (joined not 1 but 2 chorus groups), --time to take a meditation class and focus on living a life with intent and clarity, --time to finally exercise more and care for me for a change. Easy going and always interested in learning new things. Very in touch with who I am and what I want -- mentally, spiritually, and sensually.

I have more than 25 years' experience in corporate America and overcame my workaholism a few short years ago. Would have been great to find work/life balance sooner rather than later, but still better than never. So much I'd like to do -- the list of places to travel is growing, want to learn to dance the Salsa (you'll need insurance for your toes), improve my guitar playing, take a Yoga class, create beauty with my hands, and so much more.

First meetings should always be in a place where both people feel a comfort level -- whether it's something simple like a cup of coffee in a bookstore to something more lively like tapas and drinks (finding a reasonably quiet place to talk is the challenge). There are tons of places to go - the most important thing is that there be face-to-face time in a public setting so you can see if the twinkle is there, and have the opportunity to talk, laugh, and share.
