Voltaire once noted that 'Dis-moi qui vous admire et vous aime, et je vous dirai qui vous êtes' which means 'Tell me who admires you and loves you, and I will tell you who you are.'

The interests I list are serious, not simply listed to sound interesting. Best way to get to know me is to take a chance, and talk to me. Work with WHO (World Health Organization), Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) and rural health clinics. My friends and family are in high tech, science, engineering, professions in Silicon Valley of California. Or academia at Stanford University, U C Berkeley, Cal Tech and MIT.

Don't watch much tv but when I do its National Geographic, Discovery and Animal Planet I would watch, and on week ends C SPAN's Booknotes since I love books and always love listening to author talk about their works.

Love District 16 Bois de Boulogne in Paris, Stockholm Sweden's Archipelago, Christmas in Switzerland or here in the Sierras of California. And come January and February and great winter storms I love Orkney Island and Shetland Islands of Scotland.
